I don't know about that, he usually weighs in 1 or 2 pounds over the weight in the ring, he's bang on 147 now and I imagine when he fights oscar he'll be 152/153
I wouldn't be surprised if he comes in at 150 or lighter.
exactly what i was thinking he needed to do to win this fight.
pbf at 154 would be sacrificing tons of speed and elusiveness, and i dont think theres room to sacrifice anything against oscar delahoya at yet another weight class :-\

Boxing is a money game. The bigger money fights for Floyd were at the higher weights. He did what was best for him. Like it should be. Mayweather-Casamayor was the only fight that should of happened but didn't.

I prefer guys that stay at a weight class and clean up and imagine all the fights that could have been made! I don't think he's fought particularly good fighters at 140 and 147,whereas at 135,had he stayed,there are lots of names there as mentioned but guess there's nowhere near as much $$$ there.

I'm not so sure... Winky would have a hard time getting back down to 154, and he is alot slower than when he beat Mosley... I haven't seen Winky have the speed to hit PBF in awhile, and also PBF is more skilled than WInky which Mosley wasn't.

PBF didn't do shit at 140 but make money. the biggest fight he had at that weight was his easiest fight at the weight.

money was not the reason why pbf move up out of 130-135, at 140 it didn't bring him shyt but easier oppenents, he could of made ppv millions at 130-135, he just left because it was deeper at the time, then welterweight got deeper so again he left and climb up to 154, but yes this time it brings him more money, against odlh, but after old oscar theres nobody at 154 but who? spinks another crap fighter. pbf moves up because divisions get deeper, but yea he is all about money, and easier oppenents. pbf is about low risk high pay, thats a code of a b1tch made.

Your whole post was just hating garbage. How can you say he moved up because the divisions got deeper... It's just so amazing what people say. It can't be about that and the money. People aren't stupid, big money doesn't come from fighting guys who the average fan doesn't give a chance to beat you. And more importantly, you can't fight more than one guy at a time...People just expect him to fight everyone who makes a splash. Who did he duck at 135, he fought Castillo twice, who beat just about everyone else in the division, he moved up for the money. That's the only thing you say that is really correct. But after that he's taken a fine route... Who in your opinion would have been a tougher fight for him at 135 or 140 than Judah and Baldomir were at 147?? Not to mention DLH at 154.. I think the consensus among true boxing fans who don't have some bias is that Oscar is easily the toughest realistic fights Floyd could have taken other than maybe Winky which really wouldn't have been.. Least that's what I remember everyone saying after the MAyorga fight... The fight would never happen, DLH at 154 would be too much...

i can see your point of view p4pking. but at the same time i just see mayweather's route to his stature right now. he took an easy title at 140 from gatti and managed to avoid fighting either cotto or hatton for their titles at 140 istead. and then moved up to 147 and beat judah who looked shit in his last fight against baldomir and shouldnt even have had a title. then he faught baldomir who everyone knew he would beat to win yet another title. i just think he has taken a very easy route to gain his legacy so far. and he has managed one way or another to avoid every potential dangeros fighter along the way. and this doesnt seem the way of a true great to me.

But do you honestly think that because he didn't fight Hatton or Cotto at 140, it has anything more to do with him then it does them?? For one thing there's no chance Bob Arum would have let Miguel Cotto fight Mayweather at 140, Floyd had recently left him and they were on very bad terms.. It would be the equivalent of Frank Warren handing Amir Khan to Hatton at 140 in Manchester, you know? There's just no way in hell. And as far as FLoyd vs Hatton you can debate that all day but bottom line the fight never happened for whatever reason, but since they respectively beat Tszyu and Gatti at 140 Floyd has fared better than Hatton. Judah and Baldomir are better than Urango and Collazo, and DLH is a much higher ground than Castillo.. There's really just no basis for so many people's hate of Floyd in some ways.

buttom line pbf took easy route and is NO GREAT atleast not yet, talent wise he should be but level of oppenent and the way true greats finish fights NO! pbf is no great.
