Re: Peter is REALLY pissed-off!!!
Agreed Miles and Bilbo. Peter earned i. Vitali can wait in line for just 1 fight.
Re: Peter is REALLY pissed-off!!!

I dont see why Vitali cant just have a warm up and then a few months down the line he can face Peter after Peter dismantles Maskaev (which is what would happen)...Peter against Vitali could grow into an even bigger fight than Maskaev: Klitschko....

It's kind of hard to be scared of a man you beat on for 12 rounds.
Re: Peter is REALLY pissed-off!!!
I think Wlad took the first Peter fight because he and Manny knew that Sam had a lack of experience. I think that Wlad plans to steer clear of Peter from here on and it was in his interests all along to keep the WBC title out of Peter's hands.
Example: Wlad was and has been calling out Oleg. He even said that if the WBC let him fight Oleg, that he would fight the winner of Peter-Toney 2, which MOST people believed (including Wlad's people) that Toney would win This would have lined up Oleg and then James Toney next for Wlad. These would be good match ups for him, in my opinion since neither has both a strong chin along with punching power. Sam Peter goes on to beat Toney in the rematch by *gasp* outboxing him. This was a surprise for Manny and Wlad, who surely will want no part of a man that knocked him down 3 times and took all his shots PLUS excessive holding and leaning for 11.5 rounds (12 was when Peter finally Judah shuffled)
An experienced Sam Peter with improved boxing skills, most importantly finishing skills causes Wlad a big problem with a fair ref. Experienced also means no rabbit punching either. Sam Peter as WBC champ by beating James Toney twice and Oleg Maskaev would be an almost complete pro boxer. One that Wlad wouldn't call out for unification like he did for Oleg. So now that Little Klit was denied, he and Big bro find a way to keep that belt out of Peter's hands. Hence Vitali's comeback.
I am all for seeing the last legitimate heavyweight champion return, but not like this.
This is my speculation on the reasoning for this. I am no Sam peter fan, but why step over him now? Why didn't Vitali pull him mandatory card right after Oleg dismantled Rahman? This is to stop Peter from getting the WBC belt and I won't be surprised if Maskaev takes a dive.

Did you really mean beat on or did you mean beat his meat? I don't know man, with all that holding and grabbing Wlad did, he might have been doing a little ball grabbing as well. I wouldn't be surprised. He's been pretty queerish since the last time he got KTFO.

No man actually he got plenty of Sh** for it. I for one thought he did it plenty before but now it's gotten out of control since he's stepped up his competition. Let's keep this convo about the HW's though.

Maybe. Honestly though...I think that the main reason they took the Peter fight was due to the fact that a win would reestablish Wladimir's status in the division. It was an ugly fight & he looked quite unsure of himself in the first 5 rounds...but...he pulled it out & both fighters made a statement. For Wlad it was that he could take a punch, for Peter...he went in with the best heavy out there at the time & stood toe to toe with limited skills.
I have a feeling that quite a few people will be steering clear of Peter after the Toney win. That was a hell of a performance...especially as gifted & diverse as Toney is or was in his game & as limited as Peter is or was.
I want Peter to get on with a really good trainer...as raw as he is...a decent trainer could make all the difference in the world.

I'm just not sure. Wlad's tasted his power...maybe he'll have a bit of confidence going into a rematch...there again...a man drops me that many times...I sure as shit aint gonna give him another opportunity...not unless I just had to.

Agreed 100%.

Again...agreed 100%. I don't want Peter to get bumped for Vitali's comeback...but how insane would it be if Vitali cameback, beat Maskaev, & then got his ass handed to him by a totally motivated & focused Samuel Peter?

Honestly...I'm a fan of both Sam Peter & Vitali. I've always liked Vitali & I think him coming back into the game is a good thing...but I'd much rather him fight Valuev. That would be the right fight to make...or toss him in with Ruiz for a tune up. Christ almighty...I'd break out the wallet & empty it just to see him hammer Ruiz into silly putty.
Also...welcome to the forum. Have the Obligatory Wacko Welcome Wagon :coolclick:
Good post. Keep it up. This is a good place to be...keep an open mind & pump out good posts like this & you should get on fine. Cheers babe. :highfive:
Re: Peter is REALLY pissed-off!!!
Thanks Wacko. Just like you I realized a while ago that Peter needs one of the top trainers to smooth out his game.
I'd pay to see Vitali vs Valuev without a minute's hesitation, but Vitali-Ruiz would = :jabbing:

Suliman has ZERO AUTHORITY!!!!!!!!.....This has become my belief!!!!....because one man can not make that many bad decisions in a row for so many years!!!...He has to be a "YES" man for a bunch of other guys.....There is no other way to explain his actions

I would be psyched to see Vit-Klit against Valuev. You're right, too, about Ruiz. That would be a good tuneup/comeback fight. Most of all, I just hope they don't screw over Sam Peter.
