You know what Klitfan? You are one guy in here that even as a fan, can keep an open mind and I respect that. That being said, you gotta be able to see that Vitali is as much to blame as anyone in this mess. Shadow is not the only one that's angered by this and has come out of character. I would like to think that you care more about the future of boxing rather than Your fav fighters. Fighters come and go and when your fav retires, you find someone new to love. You never know, a few years down the line another fighter you like might get shafted by the same trend your boy is setting now.

I agree that the situation is unfair for Peter, I thought Peter having to fight Toney after he had already beaten him was uncalled for.I really don't know what people want Vitali to do at this point, I am sure if any other fighter was in his position they would do the same, right?I don't think Vitali is trying to pull anything by coming back at this point, he just feels 100% finally.Strange things happen all the time in boxing, fighters getting shots they don't deserve and being ranked where they shouldn't be.I am glad Vitali is coming back and could care less who he fights first, but I know he is still the best or at least the second best heavyweight at this time so it really would have just been a matter of time before he regained the WBC title.People should be questioning the WBC if anything for giving him this status, don't blame Vitali for his position.

Well, here's the thing:
I don't hate anyone. That's a very strong term to use and requires a ton of emotional energy to muster. I respect Vitali's athletic/boxing abilities. Although he does look strange when boxing, he gets the job done on most occasions. I would think that someone as intelligent as him should be a bit above all of the trappings of the dark side of the sport; apparently, that isn't the case, as evidenced by this recent news about his comeback.
Although I like and respect the skills of James Toney as boxer, I don't have much use for him as an individual. He's a perfect example of an ignorant scumbag. That being said, I think it's appropriate to call not only the W.B.C. on this B.S., but to also call the individual that's benefiting from the B.S. I completely understand his motivation for coming back to boxing and think that it's a good thing for the division. However, his return could have come about in a laudable manner instead of being a bit overshadowed with all the controversy. It's an unfortunate situation for all parties concerned.
At this point, I really don't care what happens anymore. Being an idealist and trying to apply standards to such a corrupt and integrity devoid sport is moronic, and I'm totally at fault for that.
I guess the best thing to do is to hope for the best but expect the worst. ::** I think that will save me allot of wasted time obsessing about things that I can't control. It's also important for me to keep things in perspective and just sit back and watch a good fight without attempting to apply standards in a classical sense to a sport which doesn't seem to have any.
Once again, I don't hate either of the Klitschko brothers. But when I first read your initial post on this topic with the link, much of the stock I had for Vitali as an individual, i.e. character, plummeted faster than the value of Enron. Then again, that's just me. :(
