If anybody could knock out Nassem Hamed with one shot, he was the one. Well that's what they said anyway. What happened? He got exposed by Victor Polo in a title eliminator. He was in so over his head it was shocking. He tried to make a comeback on ESPN's FNF but quit in a fight against a club fighter named I think Evan Valle after 3 or 4 rounds. He never fought again. I see Froch ending up the same way. He has done nothing to justify the over hype he's getting. Ya'll can say I'm bad mouthing him if you want, but those are solid facts.
Sorry your going to have to repost that and pick out the facts in bold because I cant see any. Im sure this makes me a Froch groupie and all that etc etc but Im just calling it like it is. You waffle on a bit and then proclaim it (whatever IT was) to be fact.
As for the fight Froch proved with Magee that he's too much for domestic competition a bit past their sale by date. Win the European title or shut up.

Don't trip. I never did expect you to understand. This was meant only for the big boys who understand and know Boxing. So how about you sit back down. Okay, buddy?
Re: REID SNUBS FROCH OFFER
But I want to be one of the big boys that understands boxing. So please, humour me, what facts are you talking about? You did say 'those' so I asume there are more than one, correct?
In your own time.
Re: REID SNUBS FROCH OFFER
I actually think that if anything Carl Froch is under-rated. Aside from being outboxed by someone with a higer workrate I can't see Froch being beat at 168 lb.
His chin is as solid as anyone's, and he has more skill than Lacy.
Froch reminds me a lot of Chris Eubank. His fighting style is different but like Eubank he has a fantastic chin, is strong and has stamina, but relies on counter punching opportunites, especially in luring fighters in and hitting them with his monster uppercuts.
Unfortunately, like Eubank he isn't so effective going forward and doesn't like to fight at pace, stylistically a fight with Calzaghe would be tough for him because Joe would outwork him and unless he got careless wouldn't give him the counter opportunites that he needs.
But no way in hell does Joe or anybody at 168 lb destroy Froch. Outwork and outbox him yes, but I can't see anybody knocking him out.
Re: REID SNUBS FROCH OFFER
I dont think Froch is as big a puncher as advertised either, dont see him taking out anyone top drawer.

Re: REID SNUBS FROCH OFFER
Reid should snub Froch's offer...he's setting himself up to become a stepping stone fighter...he takes a chance against Froch...then he's practically already headed in that direction.
Time to head back to porn. ;D

He's almost 30. He's done nothing to justify his hype. And he too will be exposed. I can't believe I had to repeat myself. At this rate you'll never leave your toddler.....hell infant level your in. Looks like some Special Ed classes might be in order for you

Reid should of called it a day after the lacy fight... Reid was a good boxer, when his head was in it

Nothing you said after that is worth responding to, just stick to the facts in future ;)
Re: REID SNUBS FROCH OFFER
Steiglitz is fighting for the IBF title in March...
Kessler & Andrade are fighting March...
Calzaghe is fighting Manfredo...
Devy Gogoya (EBU champ) has fought 3 times in 6 months and wants a breather...
There is a March date pre-aranged with Sky / Venue and everyone else is busy.
I think Robin Reid is a nice domestic touch, especially as HE called Carl out.
He'll pick up a nice cheque & stay busy until summer before deciding if he wants the _________ fight ;D

Re: REID SNUBS FROCH OFFER
Cheers Bilbo.
At the end of the day, you can only fight the following:
A) those available to fight
B) those willing to fight you
I know some rate Carl Froch...and some don't.
But one thing that i must say, is he's not anyone's cup of tea to face in the ring.
I'm not about to drivel on about his power etc etc - but what i mean is, even if they do beat him, they would certainly know they have been in a fight and would not get away with a 'pretty performance' over someone like Froch.
Re: REID SNUBS FROCH OFFER
I agree, I actually really like Carl Froch. I used to hate him with a passion, but his last few fights have won me over.
I like the way he hangs out his chin, just showing contempt for his opponents ability to hurt him.
Then when they do take the bait and try and get him he poleaxes them with one of his uppercuts.
A Cobra indeed, I can't see whats not to like about him. He's exciting to watch.

I just have a lot more respect for a guy like Bute who goes about his business quietly and delivers convincingly. I'd much rather be without the kind of mouth-diarhea Froch usually dishes up with. Simply can't stand it.
It really bothers me the extra attention Froch seems to be getting from all his BS talk, despite his accomplishments being no better and less promissing than the much younger Bute.
To some extend i can understand why ppl find Froch's style exciting. He fights like a bullfighter and as long as his opposition shows no more skill or ring-intelligence than the average bull it may work for him. I just can't imagine him getting away with it against a higher level of opposition.
I'd hate to see his annoying self-promotion rewarded with title-shots ahead of more deserving but less vocal fighters.
On the other hand i really wanna see him lose ASAP.
