It would have been interesting several years ago.
People seem to forget how old and inactive Kostya is....
im not forgetting, i just still want to see it even though yea kosta is past it. im just saying if his coming back he should as well go for the biggest glory posible and that is beating pbf. im not saying he will win though.
Im not being a hater here, but Kostya has been off the radar a long time and now Floyd has his money shot at Oscar. Just where does Kostya fit into any of what is currently happening?
If he really wants contention then he needs warm ups, but he isnt going to give them. I dont think we will see Kostya back to be honest. It would be interesting if he does but I dont see it happening...
Re: Tsyzu Open to offers for comeback
Tszyu sealed his legacy as an all time great 140 pounder years ago.
One more loss or win wont change that.
Re: Tsyzu Open to offers for comeback
I agree, not really anything to prove, he is about 38 years old, a rematch with Hatton would be my only desire if I was Kostya, other then that I would simply enjoy retirement. O0
Re: Tsyzu Open to offers for comeback
hmmmmmmmmmm i LOVE KT man! but the ring rust will probably be a murder in his performance? im not really feeling anyone for his swan song except a revenge rematch with hatton in vegas so hatton couldnt fight dirty and get away with it.
Re: Tsyzu Open to offers for comeback
Sadly, it would be a shame if Tszyu cameback at the age of 38 in (Oct) and made a fool of himself.
Boxers in the 140 or 147lb division just don't make it anymore in the bigtime at that age.
Chavez, Duran, Hearns, Leonard etc all lost to guys they would have easily beaten in their prime.
I guess it's just an ego thing with boxers, Tszyu against Cotto or Mayweather 5 years ago would have been magic. The only opponent i see for him is Mosely who is only a couple of years his junior.
Taking on Cotto now would be foolish.
