Re: Vitali still dreaming of Lewis
i cant remember the fight being dominated by either fighter. i remembre it being close and it being a fair stoppage. lewis was by far a better fighter and even in the unlikely event that he lost this fight he would have came back in a rematch and won the fight convinsingly.
Re: Vitali still dreaming of Lewis
I don't mind if you see it that way. Thats what makes the fight game interesting. I thought Lennox gave him a good sound pounding.
The damage is self evident, eye, cheek, nose, lips, He's been pounded to 1/2 a pulp. Still and All as I said ,Vitalis best fight, made people sit up and say.."hey..this guy can fight!"
Re: Vitali still dreaming of Lewis
I am seeing this fight completely different then the rest of of the bunch. Vitali was gassing out imo and Lewis just landed in spots. I never felt Lewis to be in any danger of losing the fight once that cut opened up. Lewis won the fight. He knew about the cut and he did just enough to get by until then. Lewis was like 39 right? Ok so he said he would give Citali a rematch in the heat of the moment. Then he got wise. We don't need another boxer going at it past 40. There is no reason for Lennox to do this. THere was no reason then and there is no reason now.

I don't know about winning a rematch convincingly, but I saw the fight just like you did. CC.
