Gotta agree with you on that...IMO Joe is one of those guys who get wrapped up in his own press....The Lacey fight made his head swell........He believes he is the greatest Super Middleweight of all time
Re: Joe C is ripe for the picking.
Iam going for a late stoppage or a wide ud for Calzaghe.Manfredo is gonna have a hard time with Calzaghe hand speed.
Re: Joe C is ripe for the picking.
Calzaghe will stop Manfredo around about the middle of this bout. Little about Manfredo suggests he will be able to pull up any surprises, and Calzaghe wont be wanting another repeat of the lacklustre Bika performance...
Calzaghe by KO/TKO
Re: Joe C is ripe for the picking.
You guys are underestimating the headbutts.
Calzaghe gets cut nasty in this fight. I've looked into the future and seen it with my own eyes 8)
Re: Joe C is ripe for the picking.
The only way JC is going to lose to anyone is if he is not motivated enough because style wise,he beats the shat out of JT,Hopkins and even Winky for me. You can be as critical of his opposition as you like but as a boxer, based purely on skills,he is awesome. And I don't think he loses this fight,he knows there's a big fight waiting for him after this fight,he'll be focussed.

2) Even so, if he hadn't been horribly mismanaged and trained by his father his whole career, he'd probably be holding a belt at 160 0r 168 right now.
3) I never thought Lacy was a world beater.
4) Joe C is a protected Euro champ, and no one was more surprised than him by his performance against Lacy.
5) Any retard can look at Manfredo's frame and know that he should probably have been fighting at 168 since he was about 22-23 years old. He's like Omar Shieka on steroids.
6) I put no stock in his victory over Shotberton, and not much stock in his victory over Spina.
All that said, I think Manfredo will last the 12 rounds, and in doing so expose Joe C. Manfredo is a tough, hard headed SOB, who's never been so much as knocked down in 29 professional, or 100+ amatuer fights. I'm not saying that Manfredo will win, but I really don't see him getting KTFO. Calzaghe doesn't hit that hard, and I know there's a lot to be said for punches in bunches, but Roach tightened up Manfredo's D quite a bit. Also, Calzaghe has admitted he's having a hard time getting up for this fight. He's also dissed Manfredo quite a bit. Bad idea. When Spina ran off at the mouth, Manfredo was climbing over the ref to get at him after the stoppage. Also, you can't forget the ceramic hand factor.
Here's how I like Manfredo's chances of victory against Joe C.
The Joe C that showed up for Lacy- 5%
-I'd say zero, buit Manfredo hits pretty hard at 168, and in boxing, anything can happen.
Average Joe C- 33%
-The guy just isn't that good. And he's been dropped by guys who don't hit as hard as Manfredo.
The Joe C that showed up for Bika- 66%
-Manfredo is a hell of a lot better than Bika.
So answer me this, if Manfredo survives the 12, or does the unthinkable and wins, will everyone say Joe C got exposed, or will people say Manfredo is better than everybody thought?
You say he is ripe for picking but there is not a fighter at middle Smiddle or light heavyweight that would be a big favorate over him(if a favorte at all).
The same could be said for Lacy prior to Calzaghe getting to him.
yes,but I am not saying Lacy was ripe for the picking.

Calzaghe will beat down on Manfredo, you're not getting me on this one, Bilbo Baggins! >:mad ;D
Re: Joe C is ripe for the picking.
Manfredo is a chump who should not be fighting for any version of a world tile as he hasnt beat anyone of note
Calzaghe has been a waste of talent he should have moved for glamour light heavy fight with Jones years ago i dont like him or even rate him that highly but Calzaghe cud have had big fights lets face it super middle is not a great division hes now 34-35 and slipping
shame on Warren for wheeling in chump after chump

But also shame on Calzaghe for going through with it. Its a shame he has been so lacking in ambition...

But he's very weak at the weight these days.
What do you mean he is very week t the weight? He seemed strong enough against Lacy.

You disagree but which one of you can count a WIZARD as a personal friend huh!
I've looked into the all seeing eye and have seen that Manfredo cuts Calzaghe above his right eye in the 5th round with a clash of heads.
What happens then I cannot tell you but you will see!

I guess so, but what really bothers me is that Manfredo has been fighting at anywhere from 154 to 160 his entire career. Why did it take this long for them to figure this out? Is his father that stupid? Peter complained about the weight after the show but Peter, Sergio and Miguel espino were the only legitimate middle weights on that show. The rest were moving up or down to become middle weights and had to make those adjustments to be on the show. I have seen recent photos of Manfredo Jr and he looks like a little monster with the extra weight. He is still small compared to Joe C.

Alsong as calzaghe is fighting at adleast 80% he wont get cut. He will be to fast, and manfredo is to small, he would have to do a jumping headbeat to cut his eye open ;D

over 1007 punches landed and he didn't put him down untill the 12, was a time calzaghe would of knocked lacy clean out, oor put him down a hell of a lot.

How long has Warren and co. been talking about this big fight happening?? Ever since the Lacy fight they have been saying that a MONSTER MEGA fight was Joe's next bout. I will believe when Joe steps into the ring against RJJ, BHop, Winky, JT.
