I agree, I think Khan is being brought along at an ok pace. He needs to step up a bit now though. Mayweather was world chmapion in his 17th fight, Khan needs to get a move on if he wants to come close to that.

I'd like to see him take another learning fight in April, one more in July, a better opponent in Sep and go for either Thaxton or Earl in December.

He can then go into 2008 aiming to clean up domestically and look for a world title shot in 2009.

He doesn't need to rush it. 22 or 23 is young to become a world champ.

I think that the Hardcore amongst us are starting to wake up to the fact that we have a genuine World Champion potential on our hands here.
I also think Warren is doing fine with him.
All he really needs imo is rounds to be complete 8)
I'm starting to get very excited by what i see from Khan these days :)

I was still very dubious even when Kindelan threw the 'return lets launch Amir's pro career in high profile style with a fix fight.
Huge difference between Am's and Pro's and i honestly didn't think he was as good as he now seems to be.

Unbelievably he's ranked 14 by the WBO http://www.wbo-int.com/ ;D


His first test is gonna be when he gets to finish off whats left of Earl.

I 100% agree that his whiskers need a damm good leathering, just to be sure like ;D

No I agree, I just mean that every housewife and mum knew he was going to be a world champ as soon as he came back from Athens!

Khan IMO needs more rounds come on KM has a lot more ring experience and fought at 12 rounds. i think i would tilt towards Khan but i wouldnt totally count KM out. he is a good solid fighter and he himself needs a big name. Earl-KM would be kool to see.

I don't believe Thaxton to be European class. He needed 3 attempts at the British title and failed with a Commonwealth title bid so to me that says he is a good domestic fighter and apart from fitness and heart he doens't have what it takes to make Amir think enough and he doesn't have what it takes to get out of the way of Amir's punches. Amir does need to prove he can comfortably do 12 rounds before fighting him tho IMO.

He'd ruin Thaxton with ease and is too big,strong and fast for Mitchell 8)

Has Khan fought anyone as good as Thaxton or Mitchell ???

I'm just shooting in the dark here because i've only seen khan on youtube and dont know who these other people are but apparently they'd launch him to some type of world level ??? :-\

Mitchell fights at the lower weight and is also a Frank Warren fighter so it could be a no no on that score.
Thaxton is strong and has a big heart but would be target practice for Khan imo and he is 32 and not a speed merchant.
Thaxtons world ranking is 15 or 16 so that for me would be a good route to go down.
Khan still needs a good few 10/12 round fights (if he can get them) before hand though.
