Re: Defiant Harrison vows to fight on
when I checked the fight on youtube and I said to myself, if Sprott has half a brain he won't step in the ring with Harrison again, he isn't landing that punch again and he will probably be out of there in the first round.
Actually Audley got caught because he went toe to toe and was slugging on the inside and never saw the punch coming.
I don't understand why people hate on Audley so much.
I do think he'll bounce back from the loss.
But I doubt Sprott will fight again, why get beaten to a bloody pulp into retirement like Danny Williams was in their rematch ???
Re: Defiant Harrison vows to fight on
Just out of curiosity why was it a lucky punch? Was Sprott on the verge of being beaten and had a desperation swing for the fences?
He meant to smack the fucker in the mouth and he did it, wheres the problem?

His eyes were shut for one :)
Whats your definition of a lucky punch?
Re: Defiant Harrison vows to fight on
Audley got hit because he let himself get hit......you can't win fights fighting stupid!
Harrison won't be back for quite some time as he was put to fucking sleep in that fight.
And he'll NEVER live up to expectations
Re: Defiant Harrison vows to fight on
this man should be thankful he was ever allowed to make money from boxing, and he's made plenty, i remember his first pro fight he was fat around the belly, lazy in promoting himself by not being fan friendly instead bad mouthing every other british fighter, he then continued fighting bums nobobys, guys who had no chance of ever becameing sothen area champs never mind britsh champs
he lacks guts, he lacks a chin, he lacks the ability to perform beyond fighting bums ( even then a few bums took him the distance ) he has nothing but crap to say about oithers who do have the courage to give it a real go
put an end to it all and quit audrey.............its what you do best
Re: Defiant Harrison vows to fight on
....I want him to stick around, I want him to get KO'd like that more often ;D
Re: Defiant Harrison vows to fight on
Many of world class fighters and champions have been taken out by one punch its just because its Audley move on pick on someone else ;)

You are right though it WAS a lucky punch, Harrison just got caught, it was his fight until that punch landed. Sprott was good value for money, he always is, but no way he was coming on strong. God know who he fights but best of luck to him.
My problem with Harrison is that even though he's been humbled 3 times now, I still have doubts as to whether he actually feels humble. Indeed, he still thinks he has ambitions at higher levels, and I'm halfway between feeling pity for him for being so self-deluded, and frustration at his refusal to ditch the arrogance.

I suppose if I had to give a definition I would pick something like Jackson on Graham. Even then the luck wasnt that the punch landed, there was no luck involved there, Jackson saw an openning and he took it with devistating affect. The luck aspect of it was the fact that he would have almost certainly lost the fight had it not landed, victory from the jaws of defeat if you will. The same cant be said for Sprott. He was getting a foothold in the fight, had hurt Harrison previously in the round and then sparked him out. I dont care if his eyes were open or not just like I didnt care if Tarvers were open when he drilled Roy. IMO you cant label a punch lucky just because he closed his eyes on impact.

That's the bit I forgot to mention, about the punch, in my opinion, Sprott saw that Harrison had hung out the right, and then threw his left hook at the unprotected jaw. The important thing was throwing it, and he got it right on the button. The fact that he wasn't looking didn't make it lucky, cause he knew where Audley was, and where his body momentum was going to take him, nad he juedged it well.
Re: Defiant Harrison vows to fight on
i have to respect audley a little for fighting on after getting beat by sprott and still believing that he can win a world title. i think he could win a british but dunno about that world title

At 35 and to be still tryng to fight for domestic honours. I find it a little sad that his ego cannot let go of the fact that he shall amount to nothing in boxing...

Monte Barrett Audleys best route back he is world ranked above Skelton and sprott
Re: Defiant Harrison vows to fight on
if Monte kept fighting more often he'd be dangerous for a lot of guys to fight.
I say Audley Harrison is Hasim Rahman's route back
