Yeah. At first I was kind of sceptacle on the whole thing. I didn't think the matchup meant much but...this fight has been a foregone conclusion since May basically when Oscar beat Mayorga. Usually fights sneak up on me and I'm sure this one will to once the time actually comes but time couldn't be moving any slower for it right now. And the more I watch both fighters the more things I see, really driving myself crazy. So many intangibles, anything could happen.Quote:

Finding the way to beat Floyd is like finding the way to beat a prime Roy Jones....part of it's luck part of it's skill.....Oscar has enough skill and boxing knowledge to make his own luck
If Floyd doesnt want to be on the ropes NO one can keep him there(footwork is too great). If you do happen to have him on the ropes and you throw flurries...he just rolls and parrys them all day, which just makes his defense look that much better in the judges eyes.I agree that oscar has the skill and knowledge but so does floyd. He hasn't lost in 10 years(other than in the semi's at the olympics...he hasnt lost in about 15)
Baldomir got him on the ropes....he just couldn't do shit with him when he was there.
It really helps if the ref (whomever that may be) really lets them go at it and doesn't constantly warn for pushing or holding.
Oscar has to use his size to his advantage...the jab will also help
The only way I see ODLH winning is if he comes out every couple of rounds doing something different to keep Floyd guessing. I dont see that happening. As much as I hate to say it, I think PBF wins convincingly. I dont think ODLH has it in him any more to do what needs to be done against Floyd. Floyd has so much skill that no much is going to flusterate him.
Floyds quote"37 have tried...37 have failed".I personally dont want to see the Hattons and other fighters who hold more than 5 seconds...so I agree with the refs not letting it happen.I dont want to see a WWE match.Tybuff I think you hit the nail right on the head saying that DLH has to come out with something different every couple of rounds. The downfall is that if its not working he is gonna fall far behind in points.I just don't know what he has in his arsenal that no other fighter has been able to do against floyd.
Remind me, whose Floyd boxed with a better jab than Oscar
I dont think that the jab alone will win the fight for Oscar. At some point he has to throw something else. I know the jab can set everything else up, but I dont think the jab alone will bother Floyd.Quote:

one thing ppl forget is mayweather is notjust fast but also has greattiming so wats ppls point
there point is to find any way possible to criticise him..its either
1.he hasnt fought anyone
2.Margo,Cotto,Hatton will knock him out
3.they hate that he feels that he is the best
I like Teddy 'cuz he's a real guy who's been there and done that
BUT he ain't the sharpest stick in the quiver!
Max Kellerman or Russ Anber have more smarts and polish than Teddy
BUT I still REALLY like HIM
#1 B-Hop was the naturally bigger fighterQuote:
