they should ONLY do open scoring in a close fight....like maybe a fight like Corrales Castillo... THEN its suspenseful...
I don't think that's an effort to help boxing though. And scorecards right now are the least of boxings problem. Boxing doesn't need any tweak to the rule books and it definitely doesn't need the air taken out of the arena by open scoring. I get your point and sorry if I came off hostile but I just hate open scoring. I really do not understand it. I'm far from a purist and am open to change but this is one instance where I just think the powers that be are just going in the complete wrong direction.Quote:

The 13th round for fights scored a draw was an idea where it wasn't effective, but was at least trying to better boxing. This is one where I don't even think they are trying to better boxing so much as they are trying to change it.
