Re: turning pro with no amateur fights who do i speak to
It can be done, but you would be relegating yourself to being used strictly as an opponent. Whatever promoter would sign you up would not take you seriously like you would want them to. And it diffinately is not advised to do so. You will be a lot better off spending a couple of years in the amatuer ranks and then go pro if you have the talent. But unless you REALLY need the short money then I dont know of anybody that would advise you to do it. You are still young enough that a couple of years in the amatuer ranks wont hurt any long term pro potential.

17! Eeeegats! that's a fabulous time to start fighting as an amateur. You don't want to go to pro without a background at that age. Come of age in four years and fourty bouts to back it up.

Get at least 30 amatuer fights if you really plan on making some noise in the pros.Winky won the golden gloves after just 3 weeks in the gym so who knows...What state are you in?Dont jus jump in for the money b/c you will only start off at about $800 a fight which isnt much after everyone gets their cut.Chris N. have you attended any national tournys?
