I agree if Wlad fights Valuev next Klitschko takes him out.
I just wish Wlad would fight either Peter or Maskaev next as both fights I think would qualify for the Rings vacant championship. If not then some of these belt holders gotta fight each other!!!

Agreed...but I've seen Wlad knocked the fwock out on a couple of different occassions.
All the excuses in the world don't justify a loss for a fighter...believe you me...I've tried to make some bone headed ones up in my day.
If Valuev continues to win fights...he deserves the credit...not constant detractions. Now...if he keeps on winning & then loses to Wlad...I have no issues with that...pretty much everyone get's wacked the fwock out against Wlad...but...what I wanna know is this:
What happens if Valuev blasts Wlad out?
What will everyone say then?
Wlad's made one hell of a comeback. He's beaten most of the men he's faced by knockout...if Valuev were to beat him...that would be saying something about Valuev that no one would want to admit...so honestly...I don't know why I even ask.

Yeah its a nice little side show, but it ain't boxing. Not my cup of tea at the minute at all, to be honest never really has been. Heavyweights used to be the easiest division to get excited about, now its probably the hardest.

Gotta give it to Wladamir, he was freakin kite surfing on the little hbo segment...that just shows he is by far the most athleticly fit heavy out there. Hes got Manny Steward in his corner and is a tall ass mofo. Right now I think he is the tops in the Heavies but I would love to see a Chris Byrd comeback or even Eddie Chambers come up and do well. The big monster heavyweights aren't for me.

Well I guess we'll never fucking know because it won't ever fucking happen

Re: Things just got a lot hotter at 200+ lbs...will you, the fans, take notice?
....to elaborate Valuev has never thrown a good straight quick punch. He loops his punches and they aren't very fast either.
He has good range and a decent jab but that's about all of that

Re: Things just got a lot hotter at 200+ lbs...will you, the fans, take notice?
Wlad looked good abeit against a mediocre opponent who fought scared. I mean, Austin just kept throwing that left hook off balence cause he was so scared. Every time he threw it, he leaned so far the other way to avoid getting hit that he had nothing on the punch.
That being said, I gotta say wlad did a good job and handled his business well by getting his inferior opponent out of there quickly and with one hand at that.
What I liked the best though is when Merchant asked him why he took such a fight, he quickly responded by saying that he didn't choose it and it was clear by his tone that he didn't want it. I was convinced that he is more ready than ever to make his move now as he is truly confident now.
Just one thing. He can unify all he wants but the best HW fight out there is him & Peter and until he makes that and wins it legit, I'll never be convinced.
That means no compulsive holding. BTW, I don't want to hear about no rabbit punching cause wlad was turning his head.

Get over it man... Sam is only 26 so there is plenty of time for the rematch, he'll get it real quick if he stops Vitali ;). Wlad only has TWO chances left to stop bigfoot history!!

But how long before these people actually fight each other?

I'll say it's entirely due to the return of Wlad's chin/stamina issues, and has little to do with Valuev. Unless that oaf becomes an entirely different (read: skilled above mediocre) fighter overnight, I don't see myself ever being impressed with him. The Ring's got him as like #8 or 9 in the division. I think that's fair. And it's a piss-poor division.
Skill-wise, Wlad is head and shoulders above the pack. As long as he can avoid the huge shots, no one beats him.

I really want to see this fight. It would be cool to see Valuev straight up destroy Wladimir and then have Vitali challenge him to get revenge. Dont know though, Wlad K. definitely has the skills over Big Nic but that guy is freaking huge and hairy and ugly. Almost supernaturally big and ugly. It wouldnt surprise me to see him beat anyone out there right now using his size alone; it's a huge advantage. Doesnt he outweight Klitschko by almost 100 pounds? This is the heavyweight showdown that needs to happen and the winner needs to go on to try and unify the titles against Briggs and Maskaev (seeing as the belts haven't changed hands by then).

For someone who is just not hip with the lingo of todays youth, what the hell does he was freakin kite surfing mean? ???
It sounds like it should mean the same as he was walking a tightrope, meaning there was no margin for error but I'm certain by the way you said your sentence that you meant to make it sound that Wladdy was a lot more impressive than that?
Am I really this old? :-\

The only thing that would happen in a rematch would be Wlad whipping Sam Peter even worse than before....knocking him out in the later rounds.
Was there one clinch in the fight the other night?
Sam Peter looked good vs a short fat guy with no power and who wasn't active enough to beat Hasim Rahman!!! I have no idea why people say NOW Sam Peter is ready to fight and beat Wladimir....if James Toney was 6'4/6'5 then YES by all means he would have controlled a taller fighter with better boxing skills he'd be better suited to fight Wladimir BUT you still forget Wlad's power.
Also Sam Peter fans need to get the hell over the 'holding' #1 if the ref says it's not a foul then it's not a foul #2 Sam didn't have to hold back. If Sam kept his hands working on the inside maybe one of his power punches would have found the mark.....but he didn't and he lost......he was lucky to even win the rounds where he knocked Wlad down.
If a Wladimir-Sam Peter rematch is to happen, I would rather it be after Sam Peter gets a title

Re: Things just got a lot hotter at 200+ lbs...will you, the fans, take notice?
I still think that the most fascinating match-up is Vitali vs. Peter. After Wlad pummels Valuev back into his cave, it would be interesting to see Wladdy put in the position of defending the families' honor if Peter could pull out the KO in a bout with Vitali. That would set-up another one of those marketing machines that done so well in Germany. Can you all see Die Rache des Bruders again? I think that would really light a torch under the divisions proverbial arse.

Re: Things just got a lot hotter at 200+ lbs...will you, the fans, take notice?
Wait wait wait.
Wlad beat Peter already, and THAT was a still-nervous Wlad who was a bit unsure of what he could still take.
The new and improved and confident Wlad will rip Peter a new bunghole. KO inside 8. Promise.
Soooo..... WHY is Vitali/Peter a fight you want?? Vitali will destroy Peter! I consider Vitali a better fighter than Wlad and I have no doubt Wlad will win a rematch with Sam. The only thing starting to hinder Vitali is the fact that he's not getting any younger.
Valuev.... can.....not......box. Simple. Wlad is not only one hell of a boxer, he's got an assload of pepper in both hands. Valuev falls from either Klitschko.
