Re: Carl Froch v Sergey Tatevosyan DRBR
Maybe Carl would have had a fight on his hands if it wasnt yet another smaller career journey man
Re: Carl Froch v Sergey Tatevosyan DRBR
"I had the sharpness and the coolness tonight and I showed that anyone who steps in with the Cobra has to think very carefully about what they are taking on. This guy took on the guy above me in the WBC rankings and Bute couldn't stop him, and I blitzed him in there and took him out. I've got a good five or six years in me at my peak, so it's all out there for me."
That's what Carl had to say, and his promoter said that he was hoping for a final eliminator before facing either Calzaghe or Kessler, although once Andrade wins tomorrow night, that might be a different story.
Re: Carl Froch v Sergey Tatevosyan DRBR

Cmon man, this guy isn't a journeyman he has been fighting some top 10 SMW's for the past three or four years, and was a really good fighter who has never been stopped, by European and international level fighters.
Anyhow, I'm off to enjoy the undercard fights and load up on more beers, so CC's all round, and thank the lord for a brief night's work!

Am I the only who caught this.....
Guess Team Frochs looking for the upset? Or they just wan't to see Kess loose whatever the case maybe if Froch faces Inkin that should be a really good match up....
Side note:
Can't wait for Amin to get in the mix.... 8)
Also heres hoping Sebastian can bounce back and get in there too....
Wouldn't mind seeing Sebastian fight Bute....

Sorry Mick...that comment on Andrade wins tomorrow night was my opinion, I've been joking with killer about it earlier so I thought I'd slip it in. That is in no way the opinion of Mr Froch's promoter. Maybe I should have a disclaimer or something on these RBR's....
1) By reading this RBR you are agreeing not to be doing so whilst leaping from a cliff with no ropes, safety equipment or hanggliding equipment attached.....

Sorry mate, I just think you're dismissing a guy who has really been mixing it with much better opposition than Froch has, and has some good results on his list, including Rudy Markussen (only 6 months ago), James Obede Toney, Armand Kranjc and current Euro champ David Gogiya. The problem with SMW is that there aren't too many fighters that are like Tatevosyan, who have been in there at high level and are still around. You can't expect him to go from Tony Dodson to Mikkel Kessler, despite his flash talk, and these guys have to be beaten to get to the upper echelons of the sport.

Wow! Smash!

Sure he looked great tonight but Tateoysan (spl) is far from World Class.....
Froch vs, Inkin should be a really good fight....
Re: Carl Froch v Sergey Tatevosyan DRBR
Just back from the Nottingham Arena....
Had rather a few squashy-plastic pints of lager - but basically is was a wipeout by Carl.
When i chatted to him today, he said that basically the reason Tatevosyan hadn't been decked, was that he was a lovely lad - in the press conference, he was like Kostya Tszyu without the command of the English language - a friendy personable kinda guy, but with a flat nose and air of 'business' about him.
Carl entered, without the 'hit me as hard as you can' attitude he shown against Magee & Dodson - he was very focused and was catching Sergey in the first, giving him a taste.
The 2nd round he settled down to his task and landed a peach of a shot - then Sergey got up prematurely but seemed a bit dazed and Froch fired home the upstairs & downstairs shots and landed 14/15 shots unanswered..
From my seat it was obvious it was 'game over' for Sergey and by the look on his face, it was timed just right by the ref.
At the presser Sergey told me personally that Lucien Bute was the hardest puncher/ most skilled fighter he had faced - even good enough to dethrone Kessler (whom he'd sparred) - and Froch dropped him and stopped him in 2 rounds - confirming my belief that he'd give the top 168 fighters at least a run for their money.
I'm not getting carried away by this win - perhaps Carl made this kid look average tonight - maybe Tatevosyan had a poor night - but either way, i'm convinced Carl has the power & focus to turn it on at world-level with any current champ at the minute.
8/10.

Re: Carl Froch v Sergey Tatevosyan DRBR
CC for the RBR Superheavyrun,I'd like to see Froch v the winner of Kessler and Andrade and then the winner of that to face JC~(boy are the vultures circling around JC now!)
