Wow. If this is true, the powers that be in boxing actually did the right thing :o . There's a First time for everything I guess. I'm happy for Peter, he earned the title shot and Vitali did not. I don't care about any of the emeritus bs, he hasn't fought since 2004 and in no way does he deserve an immediate title shot coming off of a nearly three year layoff. I have no problem with Vitali, he's a great fighter, and I'd bet on him to beat Peter or Maskaev, hell, he'd probably be able to beat both of them at the same time in a WWE-style handicap match; but the bottom line is the Sam Peter has earned his shot.
