As morbid as this sounds...I hope that it was the "mommy factor" which brought Sturm down.Quote:

Offical scores
116-112
115-114
116-112
Pretty much Castillejo chases Sturm around the ring the entire fight.
Sturm covers up, takes some punches and counters and connects.
What network was the fight on??
zdf in Germany. I watched it on a live stream.
I'll get you for this STUUUUUUURM!!! IF IT'S THE LAST THING I DOOOOOOO!!!
Felix Sturm became a three-time world champion, as he regained the WBA belt via unanimous decision against WBA middleweight titlist Javier Castillejo, Saturday at the König-Pilsener-Arena in Oberhausen, Germany. Castillejo, who had stopped Sturm in their previous fight, again tried to be aggressive, but Sturm's movement, clean punching and good defense allowed him to pile up the rounds, then withstand a late Castillejo surge to win by scores of 116-112, 116-112, 115-113.

As easily as a weight drained Vargas beat up Castillejo at 154 there's no reason Sturm shouldn't have shut him out...

I think your underestimating 'El Lince' when you say 'No reason' well hes only been stoped once I've never seen that fight but 2 reports that I remember said the ref. waived it off prematurely. So who knows ???Quote:

Thing is, Sturm was/is supposed to be a better boxer then Vargas was when he was attempting to be a boxer and he dominated the fight. So Sturm who is supposed to be the next best in the middleweight division I just don't understand how he isn't able to shut out Javier. Javier is a good fighter but he is past his best. Sturm should have been able to dominate him, but it was a close fight. I wonder how the third fight will go. By the sounds of it(and the scores I'm looking at) it was like Vivian Harris and Juan LazcanoQuote:
