Floyd fans, please do not use compubox numbers to claim your victory against Oscar because if that is the case then you have to accept this.

I am not down with compubox numbers. It can be very misleading at times. But if the fan boys want to go there, then there you have it.
I know what I see and I can tell a punch that lands vs a punch that is blocked, partialy blocked, lands with authority and or is just a love tap.
Oh please ::** This is weak Danny.
Want us to bring up the Sturm punchstats ???
The Whitaker punchstats ???
The Quartey punchstats ???
Floyd won get over it ::**
Re: Floyd fans now hold compubox #rs as real.
compubox does count so many blocked punches as having landed

You could say the same thing the other way around then ;)
It can work both ways people.
Re: Floyd fans now hold compubox #rs as real.
You don't need compubox to see the winner of lastnights fight.
It wasn't Oscar.
Re: Floyd fans now hold compubox #rs as real.
Mayweather beat Dela. And JLC beat Mayweather. Its as simple as that. Compubox numbers arent always right. But theyre not far from the truth.

and Mayweather came back and beat Castillo cleanly. So whats the point? It aint like Floyd ducked Castillo. He came back in the rematch and won easy. So whats the point?

Oscar sucks balls!
Floyd is another fake.
We had two fake azz mo fo's up there.
So you are saying the numbers don't lie?
Then you just admitted that Floyd lost against Jose Luis Castillo I.
Thank you.
Re: Floyd fans now hold compubox #rs as real.
Thts 1 place I CAN agree with you totally DG,Floyd fans love using the numbers when it came to the Oscar fight but when it came to the JLC fight:"numbers can be manipulated" etc etc is all I heard from them. Fair play,Floyd won against Oscar for sure but no way did he beat JLC the first time and the second time,I had it 115-113.

You're missing the point TOTALLY.Danny dislikes Oscar too, totally. He's merely saying that Floyd fans like mentioning punch stats when it suits them, this has nothing to do with Oscar's other fights.
Re: Floyd fans now hold compubox #rs as real.
Mayweather beat Oscar
Castillo beat Mayweather 1st time
simple as that

Having said that, I was watching Oscar vs. Floyd again earlier and I was looking at a lot of it in slo-mo. Oscar missed so many punches that people would have thought he had landed in real time, it is amazing. At the last second, Floyd seems to just get himself out of harms way either by slipping, rolling or parrying. If anyone can, look at the combination from Oscar with around 1 minute left in round 9 as an example in slo-mo. He throws around 8 punches and misses with every one of them! You would be sure he connected in real time, especially with the crowd going insane, but Floyd actually successfully avoids every one of them!
Floyd's misses were a lot easier to pick up on because he was not really throwing combinations, just single shots.
so they way mayweather's head snaps back is just mayweather making his head snap back, just like ur suggesting right???
Do you mind showing me where I said that?
Sure, Floyd was caught on occasions. I was just saying that a lot of the combinations from Oscar that had the crowd and the UK TV commentators going into a frenzy with excitement, for the most part weren't even landing at all.
As for Compubox...
As has been said, Compubox is just a couple of guys pressing buttons at ringside... they are human like everyone else... and they have pockets like everyone else. ;)
They will never be 100% reliable in my eyes.
They are succeptable to corruption, just like judges.
They have a habit of handing out the 'overall' punch stats and then people base their opinions off that. For the home viewers, if you are judging a fight the way it SHOULD be judged, overall punch stats are pretty much worthless.
As I have watched the fight more closely now, I have Floyd winning by more than the two rounds that I originally thought, so I think Compubox have the stats roughly right on this occasion. However, I have seen fights before were the 'overall' punch stats painted a completely different picture to the painting of the fight itself.

i actually never saw the first castillo-mayweather fight. all i know is that on saturday, oscar delahoya got outlanded and outboxed. he lost the fight and that's that. Im not saying he's gay or that he is not a great fighter. but he lost on saturday and im tired of everyone trying to argue otherwise.
Danny did u think Saturday's fight was as close as the Castillo match?
