Goddamn I boxed for 10 years and why do people docking my points. Hell I won a silver glove when I was just a boy.
Hey, be fair, Mayweather was the one who called out UFC and Dana White is calling his bluff. That is the exact point. Boxers have been saying for a while now they are better at boxing . . . Great, that's quite the revelation ::**, YOu guys keep repeating over and over again how a boxers hands are better and such. Thats the point, MMA knows that, MMA is not boxing. IT seems like an amazingly simple concept. Dana White is drooling at the opportunity to proove just how DIFFERENT mma is.Quote:

Its Dana thats bluffing
And by the way, every tourney Ive seen the jui-jitsu guys(what MMA realy is) get their heads handed to them
Actually the rarely even show up anymore
floyds not the kind of tough boxer it would take to win an mma match.
HAHA untrue. BJJ is the competitive sport it is today because of the popularity and effectiveness it had in UFC and Vale Tudo. MMA is not really Jiu JItsu as the (Now) 5 minutes first rounds deprive many grapplers of actually setting things up, also Knees to the head prevent many take down, and Pulling guard (the act of forcing a standing opponent into a Jiu Jitsu guard, which is difficult and dangerous) is the only option many good BJJ practitionors are left with. And again it brings me back to the same SIMPLE concept >:mad, MMA is a different sport, There simply aren't enough hours in the day to perfect both your stand up and your ground game. Yes a committed MMA guy would get tooled in ADCC (BJJ tourney) or something, as he would in boxing. Follow?? MMA is not Jiu Jitsu and it is Not Boxing. And the crossover rate between BJJ and MMA is actually huge. They rarely show up anymore? Not true. In fact many WOrld CLass BJJ practitionors show up in MMA (and get tooled).Quote:

I got to say this:
Since Floyd started to talk crap about MMA (and i'm not a fan) let him prove it let's see I Hope Dana can Offer him 14 mil or something close to that. BEcause I will Pay $100 to see Floyd in MMA and I will bet my house he will en up sleeping unless he buy out the other guy giving hime a Cut to stand and not go to the floor.
. . . huh??Quote:

That being said, then as someone in the know, how could you possibly consider it a knock against an MMAist that they get tooled in something as competitive as a pure Jiu Jitsu tourney?? What was the point you were trying to make? Sorry I just took it as a cheap shot. Anyway now your encouraging boxers to pick up other disciplines, which pretty much goes along with what I'm trying to say. People got to stop this Boxing vs MMA shiite, as I guess you are aware, every sport has it's own merits, which is why I respect MMA.Quote:

What Ive seen from things like UFC is inferior to even normal martial arts
But regardless,if your making money off your ability to kick another mans head in,you can allways learn something, even if what you learn is,dont do that.
Like I said, there aren't enough hours in the day. And I'm surprised someone who respects other disciplines, and even encourages cross training "because knowledge is power" would take such a view of MMA. I surprised you would expect that person who dedicates their time equallly between several different martial arts, to refine them all to a world class level. Your right though, it needs a lot of development, which is exactly what is happening now. Fusing all of those arts so it can flow and you can move seemlessly between the stand up and the gound is an art in itself, and they are getting better at it gradually.Quote:
