I have been saying for the longest that Floyd isn't that bad of a guy. He's just a cocky prick because that's what sells. He could have come into this fight like boring ass Shane Mosley but he wants to sell PPV so he's gotta turn it up, be a dick, and play the villian role. This is a guy that a year earlier was playing the good guy role (haha, as well as he could play it) against Zab Judah and that had a Vegas crowd cheering for him for the most part. I might venture to say that Floyd was probably the best villain ever. The people that hate Mayweather are just idiots because they can't tell the difference between promotion and real life. Actors in Hollywood play parts and I don't come out and say "Fuck Brad Pitt, I don't agree with what he did in Fight Club." Mayweather may not be the most articulate, he may not have the business sense or appeal to women that ODLH has but in his own right, he's a genius. His antics doubled his paycheck.

He didn't do any of the things he said he would do other than win the fight. There was no massacre or domination of ODH he did just enough to win and in a lot of peoples eyes not enough. So did Leno ask him if he massacred ODH like he said he would? Or any of the 1000 other stupid things he said before the fight that he would do that he didn't. That would be asking "Real" questions not just pissing in the new champs pocket.

And no way in hell did his antics double his paycheck. They increased it for sure, but a car salesman can sell more cars if he lies about what the car does. He gets no love from me until he has the career defining fight. It's not about what you say, it's about what you do. He has to do something to make up for his actions, not say a few good words on t.v.
Maybe he should run for president. It's standard procedure for politicians to say one thing but do another.
