Re: What fighters records would look like
Sounds fun, let me wtry
Pernell Whitaker (40-4) becomes 43-2
-changed loss to De La Hoya to UD win
-changed loss to Ramirez to UD win
-draw to Julio Cesar Chavez to a UD win
James Toney (69-6) becomes 71-4
-changed BOTH losses to Montell Griffen to UD wins
-changed loss to Sam Peter (first fight) to UD win
-changed UD win over Tiberi to UD LOSS
Re: What fighters records would look like
lol i bet with Glen Johnson it would be him having far less losses? Ive only seen him twice and that was against Jones and his 3rd fight with Woods which i had him winning.
Re: What fighters records would look like
Of all the fighters of recent years, Whitaker is definitely the one guy who had his record most affected by controversial/weird endings.
He officially had 4 losses, 1 draw, and 1 no contest.
The no-contest was a fight he won, but it was changed to a NC after his drug test came up positive for cocaine.
Everyone knows his 1 draw against Chavez was a joke and was a clear victory.
Of the 4 losses:
the Ramirez loss is universally considered one of the worst decisions ever.
the loss to DLH is highly questionable. It's not a robbery like the Ramirez or Chavez decisions, because it was a close fight and tough to score, but Whitaker easily could have won, especially considering that he was the reigning champ.
in his last fight against Bojourquez, he broke his clavicle in round 2 or 3, fought an entire round one-handed with it broken, and then the doctor stopped the fight.
The ONLY clear loss that Whitaker ever had was against Tito, when Pernell was a 35 year old drug addict who hadn't fought in 20 months and was just out of rehab.
He could have been 44-0 when he fought Trinidad.
P.S....... I'm sure someone will bring up Pernell's first fight with Wilfredo Rivera. I thought it was a very close fight that could have gone either way, but I had Pernell edging it by a point.
Re: What fighters records would look like
Peter Manfredo would be 27-3-0.  He won the second Mora fight.  As far as the Gomez and first Mora fight...  Both are loses...  Calzage would have ended it by TKO by the eight. :-\
