Holyfield is presenting something to boxing that a majority of boxers dont even acknowledge as a tool in boxing. And thats Heart & desire. Holyfield, wether he is beating up a ham n egger or a top contender is still inspirational to me. He is a professional boxer, and most importantly a MAN. If he passes whatever tests all other boxers pass to fight, then good look to him!
I personally would like to see him retire, HOWEVER, watching him is amazing, after all he has been through, after all the top contenders he has faced, after the countless wars He can still maintain that perfectly conditioned machine of a body, you can only sit back and Congratulate him on reminding us all what the definition of Determination, heart, desire, and every other characteristic current HW's lack these days.
So as far as Competition, he might not be fighting the top 3 hw out there right now, but, i will continue to support Evander for what he was, is, and forever will be, and thats a Warrior.
I just can't wait until we finally get to see Holyfield against Tommy Morrison! It's a fight thats been 15 years in the making.
Maybe the winner can fight Joe Mesi :P
"....If he passes whatever tests all other boxers pass to fight, then good look to him!.." That's the key.
your right there. Evander has more talent stamina, and hand speed at 45 then most HW have at 25. Evander could beat any of the current champions if given the opportunity.. his people are wise keeping him busy so he will be ready for a championship challenge this fall.Quote:
