So how the hell people can scream robbery when the result is a split decision with Taylor losing wide on one, winningg wide on another and winning just on the third?
Whatever it was it certainly wasn't a robbery.
Some rounds open to interpretation yes, but you can't argue that on the night two of the jusges favoured aggression and harder punches over sharp defense and elusiveness.
Thats just the nature of judging, different judges look for different things.
I'd say in this case the judges were actually pretty good, reflecting that Jermain being the aggressor did enough to win the fight but giving a lot of credit to Cory for his slick boxing display.
Don't get me wrong I think the judges often suck, but Saturday was not one of those nights imo.
I felt he won the fight, Spinks made no effort to fight at all, at least Jermain was coming forward and the few decent shots that landed were all Jermain.

I'm waving Taylor off until he shows me something.

Word.
I had Spinks winning rounds 1, 2 and 4. I had Taylor with rounds 3 and 5. After that I realized that Spinks and Taylor were both pussyfootin' and I crumpled up my scorecard in disgust.
In a fight were neither man's assult amounts to a row of beans they both leave with what they came with.
Whenever I do a spellcheck the program tries to change Spinks name to Spunks. What does that tell you?!
