OK, on a fight only 14 months in to his career, you take as evidence Ali would have beaten Mike
If we did the same for Ali then after 3 whole years of being a pro and seeing him struggle big time with the likes of Doug Jones and nearly being stopped by Henry Cooper (yes thats right 2 consecutive poor displays after more than twice the amount of time as a pro that Mike was when he beat Tillis) then we would have to say a Mike in his prime would murder Ali, or Clay ;D
When it comes to Mike he really isnt given a fair shake of the stick, when Mike struggled at his peak he wan nearly every round of his poor fights, when Ali struggled in his prime he was getting unpopular decisions and scraping himself off the floor ;D
Mike having trouble was someone who heard the final bell ;D
Tyson had poor outings against big guys that held on the inside and people that moved. Ali was both. Tyson never truly dominated a big guy thru out his entire career. And yes i am judging mike based on the first year or so of his career because after that he started to lose intensity. He was not the same fighter by the time his 20th career fight came around. He didn't have a much intensity and hesitated more. He also didn't throw as many combos. Ali wasn't in his prime in his first three years of being pro, Tyson was. The tyson that fought tillis is basically a near prime tyson vs. a poor mans ali. A prime ali would dispatch of tyson easily as would any big heavyweight with a respectable jab and the ability to keep moving.

Hey don't be dissing dundee because he did his job and got his fighter to win. And don't try saying that fight was a fluke because cooper wouldn't beat frazier, foreman, and norton.

Well said and i agree too many people overrate Tyson and what you said is totally right Tillis done right tactics against near prime Tyson problem was many people tried Tillis tactic but they forgot about offense and just went on defensive the way to beat Tyson is movement then when he gets close clinch and stick the jab in his face same tactics Ali and Holmes would use to beat Tyson.

Yes because Tyson was near his prime here Tillis is giving him alot of movement using the jab landing with uppercut this is exactly the reason why i think Holmes and Lewis would beat Tyson.
Because Tillis could handle his power while Holmes couldn't.

Are you kidding me ?? Holmes had great chin its just he was past his prime and 2 weeks to train and not mentally prepared for prime Tyson Tillis actually had quite a weak chin he was sparked out by Tim Witherspoon in 1 round Holmes also lost alot of his movement and reflexes he was basically badly fading after 83 and his jab didn't have the snap on it either.

That was like throwing the '78 ali in the ring with tyson. Same name, but definitely not the same guy as in previous years.

It wasnt a fluke ?
So Cooper was a better fighter for being able to floor Ali ???
In Mikes prime he wiped the floor with a whole division, he left no argument or challengers, he battered holmes and was the only man to do what he did to him, and Holmes fought holyfield and Mercer after that
Alis best display was against a washed up Cleveland Williams who had 5 losses and three were by ko when he faced Ali ;D
Mike beat 2 all time greats in Holmes and Spinks in his prime

I thought you were trying to say that henry cooper should've beaten ali when they fought.
Actually if you wanna see an ali on point watch the brian london fight. Mike cleaned up a soft heavyweight division. Everyone gets on holmes back because he never had a great fighter to challenge his reign and guess what Tyson fought the same guys. The only thing that beat holmes was shady decisions and age. Mike tyson beat an aging holmes and a guy that should've never been champ to begin with.
And for the record Muhammad Ali was the ruler of the toughest era in heavyweight history WHILE he was alittle bit past his best.

Right stop right there Cooper got lucky punch there was 5 extra seconds in round he come out for next round battered Cooper Holmes was even with Tyson and got caught but so what ?? anyone who knows boxing knows that was badly washed up Holmes and he fought Holyfield and Mercer with proper training not 2 weeks like he had for Tyson and i suppose Tysons best display was against Berbick who had already been koed in 1 round and lost every round to Holmes or the natural Lightheavyweight Spinks who only got the title getting gifts of a fading Holmes and 2nd one being a bad robbery and Spinks already lost fight before he already got in the ring he didn't come to fight at all.

Say what you want, but Holmes would have never been able to handle Tyson's power. ALso the problem that him and Ali would have had especially early Ali is that they would have held enough against Tyson, and nobody beats Tyson who doesn't hold him.

Holmes lost alot of reflexes amongst other stuff Tillis had quite weak chin and he was able to make it very tough fight by using right tactics Ali used to hold alot and Holmes could aswell big problem for Holmes was he lost his movement and reflexes and snap on his jab i know he didn't used to dance around alot in his prime but he had much better movement in his prime plus better reflexes which cost him in Tyson fight imo.

Can't help but feel ICE that you just can't see past your hate for Tyson i feel your just constantly negative towards him because you don't like him this is nothing to do with his skills as a fighter its to do with you not liking him in my opinion.
