This would be a great fight a jab war but Lennox would catch up with Holmes by round 8 or 9 and take him out holmes were in the 220's weight wise Lennox was 240's a very big 240s i think he would be to strong for Holmes.

A young lewis was 220s and when he went with Manny he was 240s but he was alot slower.Quote:

and this is coming from an anti-holmes boxing fan.....i think larry holmes was an ass-hole and treated his fans like shit......but his skill cant be denied
Prime Larry Holmes wins a UD/Possible stoppage, apart from Ali i think Holmes had the best Jab in HW history. Holmes could also counter Lewis and packed a good left hook. Couldn't see Lewis beating Holmes.
Holmes by UD
His opinion ;DQuote:

Lewis smarter fighter than Holmes ?? well im not so sure about that and Lewis won rematches against bums we are talking Holmes here not Rahman and McCall Holmes jab was better than Lewis's jab Lewis used to paw with his jab Holmes actually knocked someone down with his jab and Lewis got outjabbed by Frank Bruno and Little Ray Mercer was going pretty even with Lewis in jab department Lewis would lose a decision and Lewis is not one of the greatest and how he is one of the greatest ?? what wins did he have that make him one of the greatest ??Quote:

I am not asking you to disect the pereiods of their careers when they fought, I just think that you should check out Holmes' era if you think Lewis fought some bums ;)
As I've stated before I think Holmes would UD Lewis, but you won't find many better resumes in history than Lewis
Most of these guys you have just mentioned were already victims im not sure if you know what i mean by that i'll you a example.Quote:

Golota= now i give him alot of credit for this win considering Golota battered Bowe twice
Tucker= Tyson already got to him BIG H and was 35 if i remember
Briggs= got a gift off Foreman actually forget that it was a robbery and he also got stopped in 3 rounds by that
other mediocre chump but i can't remember his name at moment
Akiwande= the hugger ?? well he may of had good record but imo he isn't that good of a fighter more of a hugger than a fighter im sure your agree
I won't go into the others but what im saying is that most of Lewis's best wins were washed up fighters like Holyfield and Tyson i give Lewis credit and im not saying Holmes beat better opp but he did dominate his era and beating some good undefeated fighters like.
Gerry Cooney
Tim Witherspoon
Carl Williams
Renaldo Snipes
And of course his two best wins
Earnie Shavers just before he fought Holmes in 1st fight he almost beat Ali and in 2nd fight with Holmes just before he fought Holmes he destroyed Norton in 1.
Ken Norton some may say he was washed up but i disagree he almost beat Ali and he also beat Jimmy Young who was just coming off giving Foreman a boxing lesson.
I give Lewis credit for beating.
Andrew Golota
Gary Mason because of his power and because Lewis only had like 14 fights at that time
Ruddock because of how early he done
Tua
Holyfield
Klitschko
And thats about it really i don't give him much credit for Mercer because he should of handled Mercer alot easier yet he made it alot of hard work and Mercer was never a great boxer and imo the fight was a draw.
holmes couldnt carry lewis jockstrap ...lewis era compared to holmes era is like
comparing a plastic mug to a ceramic one....holmes might have one of the longest winning runs in his reign but christ he didnt fight anyone of note...all the big bois had retired ali, smoking, fearsome george, and who was left for holmes to fight???ken doll norton big deal and holmes barely won that fight ...as for lewis dang who didnt he fight he fought them all and if he lost fought them again to win.....how do u know a champion???u know when he loses comes straight back and wins thats why lewis rates over all of them....holmes man he lost to two fight wonder spinks....came out of retirement and got eaten up by tyson(and dnt gimme he was past his prime crap u get in the ring yur ready)and bein tryin to fight on past glory since....holmes ruled in a era where there were no challenges....lewis he ate all his challengers and spat them out...lewis foreverl
Holmes couldn't carry Lewis's jockstrap ?? what complete nonsense Holmes beat a guy who should of in alot of peoples eyes be 2-1 against the greatest hw of all time Ali actually most of what you said is complete nonsense im sorry but it is.Quote:

Chavez was ready against Wiley yes ok Holmes wasn't as past it as those guys i just mentioned but he was not ready at all Lewis's best wins were against washed up fighters like Holyfield like Tyson and have you ever watched Spinks fights ?? and can you honestly tell me without laughing that Spinks deserved to win 2nd fight at all ??
Lennox wins this one. Both are evenly matched apart from power which Lennox had more of.
I don't see the point in rubbishing they're opponents in order to prove an arguement as it's pointless.
Lennox in my own opinion was the better of the two and I base that on having seen alot of both fighters contests during there prime years.
