Arum and King have been around for years and the last good thing either of them did was King's middleweight tournament 5 years ago. I'm sorry but I'm more comfortable with Oscar leading the way then anyone else.
I hope that Boxing Summit thing gets off to. Also, Oscar is the only promoter to come out in support of McCain's national commission which pretty much everyone knows we need.
Oscar claimed/promised ALOT and is doing the complete opposite by Fin over us fight fans and not letting pac fight JMM, MAB, Valero, Guzman, etc etc. OSCAR makes it very CLEAR that he would rather take ARUM to court and tie up these hungry prime fighters from fighting each other than settling out of court.
arum and don king while suing each other still gave us alot of super mega fights even while still in pending litigation.
OSCAR WILL NOT!
so whats good now bro?
It's call business and Arum no longer has any leverage with the single digit number of champions and prospects he has rightsto. Arum double talks and asks that his boxers generate the larger purse despite not being belt holders. Then he blames it on GBP. GBP meanwhile has plenty of fighter to showcase on PPV,HBO and HBO Latino boxing segments. What does Arum have.......I'll tell you ..... wimpers. It is not non Pac Man fans or GBP boxers
fault that Pac Man continues to make managerial blunders.
yeah Pac Man def needs some serious financial/management who would be in his best interest and who will stay ON HIS ASSSSSSSS from making anymore dumbasssss fukkkkkupps

IN the defense of Oscar in his fight with Floyd he didi sell it well he came to fight PBF was the one running all the damn ring ( now he felt what Tito felt) :D
Re: Who's worse for the sport of Boxing? Oscar or Richard Schaffer?
GBP are not going to save boxing at all. By far the best promotional company of 2007 so far has been Top Rank whether people like Bob Arum or not.
@bestp4p Did McCain really call them Gooks? haha what a legend, I'd vote for him 8)

GBP if they do indeed end up saving boxing according to their plan it would be in our childrens generation not ours. so in the meantime it would F over us the fight fans until then!
and yes McCain really did refer to the Vietnames as Gooks in his speech a couple years ago.
in southern california all hell broke lose as the heavy populated cities such as westminster rallied up to protest his speech down there.
vietnamese americans from all over so cal gathered to prostest and taunt him wearing shirts that read: "IM an American not a GOOK!"
heads up guys u dont wanna F with Vietnamese they some crazy trigger happy mofos. go clubbin at Shark Club and u'll see what im talking about
Re: Who's worse for the sport of Boxing? Oscar or Richard Schaffer?
McCain was a POW. He called his captors Gooks and then refused to apologize because he said he was talking about his captors and would never offer them any sort of an apology. Pretty dumb but understandable imo.

further more this wasnt just him talking or in an interview this was in a SPEECH! a F'n SPEECH!!!!!! you want the president of the US dropping racial slurs like nothing in a SPEECH?
Re: Who's worse for the sport of Boxing? Oscar or Richard Schaffer?
No. But if a white guy captured a black guy and abused him, even if it's obvious that the white guy wasn't a representation of all white people, I'm not going to be mad if the guy is bitter and says some racist stuff. It's understandable. Wrong but understandable.

heres the difference mccain is not a 17yr old scrub on a boxing forum hes running for the presidency of the most powerful country in the world!!!!! and he didnt make the racial slur bomb in casual talk he made it in his SPEECH! meaning it was more than premeditated it was pre-written and im sure some of his team begged him not to use the slur but he went on his emotions.
Re: Who's worse for the sport of Boxing? Oscar or Richard Schaffer?
yo bro im not even vietnamese, but it pissssssses me off that he used that word in his speech. if he used any other racial slur word it is just as bad!
unfortunately only the "N" bomb draws nationwide contraversial attention.
look at all the BS that happen to the biotch from seinfield and that was just stand up this is a president candidate running for the presidency u see the difference?

17 year old scrub ok. Anyways, ....I didn't say it was right. It's understandable someone could remain bitter on something like that. I can go through and highlight the number of times I said it wasn't right if you want.

i wasnt calling u a 17yr old scrub bro, besides didnt u just turn 18? or am i mistaken???
my point is if you gonna run for office dont u think u should put your racist personal feelings aside and not even mention them in a speech? its quite foolish and pathetic dont u think?
whats worse is society accepts it?
again we trip out on comedians/rappers etc 24-7, but a man who can very well be our next president says this only a few years ago? feel me bro?
Re: Who's worse for the sport of Boxing? Oscar or Richard Schaffer?
17 ;D
And I get you completely, I'm agreeing with you. It just seems your getting worked up when I'm agreeing with you. I know it was wrong and McCain is an idiot a lot of the times, but that was one thing where it's kind of like the old grandpa is venting about his wartime. Not smart, definitely not what you want to see out of a president but I don't think he should have been crucified the way he was for it either.
