To most peoples eyes Gatti will look as terrible as he always does in his next fight, taking a beating and ending the fight on the canvas battered and bloodies. But his diehard fans will doubtless see that as a victory of bravery and courage and he will get the Chavez fight anyway,

Gatti reminds me of that episode of the Simpson where Homer went on tour as the guy who gets shot by a cannonball.

I agree with you. Seems like people want to see Gatti in a war and they want to see if Chavez can take it. I do know that if Gatti lands on Chavez the fight is over.
