i thinks its a 55-45 fight for flloyd, but i tel u if hatton does get him with a body shot like castillo, id love to see flloyd go down and come back up and fight or run for his life, would make me cry with happyness i think, truely test his fire

Much as i'd love to see it i just can't see Ricky beating Floyd at all :-\

I dont think The castillo win has changed much. Floyd would still be a strong favourite as he always has been. A few posters saying Hatton will win can hardly be described as a shift in balance.
now gatti was shot and not just stylistically overmatched..he wasn't shot from kayoing dorin,leija, beating undefeated branco, back to back wins over ward...not to mention he beat undefeated damgaard after losing to floyd....
floyd just made him look shot...as he will expose hatton not for being a bad fighter, but rather one dimensional and that it takes more than just being tough to be on floyds level...

I tend to think that a fight against Mayweather would really be a defining fight for Hatton, and no doubt everyone would get even richer. I'd like to see Hatton do well, and I think he'd land more shots that ODLH did last time, and what that will do is really test Mayweather more than he has been before. However, Mayweather could still do his usual thing, and I'm dithering as to whether I'd favour one or the other, but I want Hatton to win.

and with good reason, beating two living legends in kostya and floyd and one probably slightly past his prime ledgend in castillo. same should go for flloyd tho, if he beats hatton he should be up there with leonard and co

Im with you man. I would love to see PPF in a war. I dont think Hatton would come close to beating him as much as I would like to see it.
Good for Hatton though for getting him mad enough to talk trash about fighting him. Hatton would make more money than ever before.

I am sorry for all you Hatton fans and all you Maywether fans but it seems to me that out of all the possible matches that Floyd could make....Taylor (160), Mosley (147), Trinidad (160), Cotto (147), Margarito (147), etc., he has, again, chosen the easier of the bunch in Hatton. Who just did not look any good at 147. I am assuming, if the fight gets made, that it will be at 147 and I don't see Hatton winning at this weight.
It would be fun to watch and I will be glued to the TV set all night hoping for a miracle punch that puts Floyd on his ass.
Please don't miss understand me, I think it would be a great fight. Most likely more entertaining than Floyd - DLH but it will also probably be more one sided.

To me he always was gonna have a great chance to beat Mayweather but he wasn't on people's radars, he needed this win for the noise to be made, and it's worked.

Hatton vs Floyd has been tossed about for the past 3 years & pretty much everyone EVEN HATTON FANS said that Hatton couldn't pull it out. The Castillo win is a funny & contradictory thing...because Bilbo is 100% correct & :coolclick: for it.
When Castillo Hatton was mentioned it was predicted to be a war by pretty much everyone...when Hatton smoked him...it was disgraceful how everyone reacted...but then come Monday morning Hatton's a shoe in for the demise of Mayweather? Please.
That being said...there are a lot of factors at play that could swing this one either way...
Said it before & I'll say it again...if Hatton moves up he's fwocked. Collazo is a fantastic boxer & he's not even half the caliber of Floyd & look at that showing. Hatton aint cut for anything other than 140lbs, IWHO.
If Floyd is rushed to move back to 140lbs...he's fwocked. Plain & simple. 7-10 lbs is a lot for a boxer to drop in a short time.
I still say that this fight won't materialize...but I have been wrong before...let us pray. Heh heh heh.

Its a fair opinion..
But in mine i think theres more to it then castillo just bieng off.. That kid was undefeated and tricky and the pressure was on for the performance..
And even if it had not been for the wars castillo has had.. I cant think of how castillo could have changed anything in that fight.. The handspeed hadnt decreased..Thats how it always would have gone down..
And hatton although he did fight up close and personal with Jlc.. Didnt let him take any controll..
There was nothing to do but carry on like he did .. And the body shot was perfect..
Ricky did a number on him and thats that really.. I cant see how it could have gone any other way under any circumstance
