so when you say he was a lightheavy then yes he's included...anybody from 175 and under in the history of the sport ...prime roy jones eithers stops them or wins a UD....only the greatest HWs would have possibly beaten jones..and i'd still taken roy over them because they weren't like the heavys today (Super heavys) ali,marciano,demsey,louis, liston all of them were within a size range were jones would have given them hell
I disagree with some of those nsame you put and i also think some boxers at Middleweight would stand a chance like Gerald Mc.
Gerald was too open and didn't have the ring intelligence that roy had..roy would out point him or possibly stop him
Easy to say that but Gerald charges right at you and im not sure if Roy can avoid Geralds bombs for that long its a toss up.
you might have forgotten how quick roy's reflexes were when he prime...gerald would get hurt badly..in fact benn might have saved him from the lost to jones...
Believe me i haven't im the one normally praising Jones but in this fight im not sure if he could win.

Gerald McClellan was not given the time to become the finished article as a professional. IMO Gerald had just as much natural talent as jones, but also, explosive power that even jones did not posess

There is no way Jones would beat Charles or Moore at Lt. Heavyweight. They fought the far better fighters..and beat them. Jones was great in a different generation of fighters.

But yeah HBO does tend to take credibility away from fights....it's a damn shame too they could make more boxing stars just by being good commentators but they shoot themselves in the foot when they discredit a fight/fighter like that. Like Hatton...no one knew and no one KNOWS Castillo is shot...he wasn't at his best but at least he did what HE was paid to do and that's WIN....it's not Ricky's fault Jose Luis didn't come to fight just like it's not Roy Jones Jr's fault that Ruiz couldn't do anything to him.

Jones would have given all of them a good fight, but beat them all i kinda doubt it, Ali was just as smart as Jones in the ring and well i think that he would have been able to take Jones, also at LHW i think that Michael Moorer would have given him hell, he was an ok HW but remember Moorer was an outstanding LHW, winning all of his fights by KO in that division, he was a pretty smart fighter, a southpaw, quick, great power, and also an extremely good and effective right jab

If I remember correctly, Emmanuel Steward did the same thing during the Mayweather-Baldomir fight.
In the pre-fight analysis, he said that Baldomir was a tough fighter and that Floyd was going to be in for a rough night.
Then after the fight, he said the outcome didn't surprise him because Baldomir never had a chance anyway.
I'll have to watch a tape when I get a chance to see exactly what he said

He was going to fight Corrie Sanders next(who had just KO'd Wladimer) and Corrie didn't want to fight Roy and vacated the title, and Roy didn't see the honor in fighting a vacant title he said he wanted to beat a champion to truly be a champion(right on Roy!)
So he went to Lennox and Lennox said he was probably gonna be packing it up(retiring)
So he moved down to fight Tarver since no Heavyweight wanted to fight him except probably Byrd but King kept that fight from happening for some reason

Roy said he'd fight Tyson or Lewis, if he was paid $100 million for the fight. This is the oldest trick in the book, it's called "intentionally pricing yourself out of a fight."
Now I don't blame Roy at all for not wanting to fight Lennox, but let's not make it seem like Lewis is the one who backed down.

Because he was worried for Roy's health.....Thats not a story thats fact!
The reason he took the Ruiz fight was because Ruiz was a no risk fight as ruiz was not a huge puncher. Roy was great, even an ATG, but come on....
