Whatever. People will never be happy with Mayweather there's always a freaking excuse for everything. All these "boxing pundents" want Mayweather to fight Hatton even Brian Kenny screaming at Floyd "Who beat Kostya tszyu!! Who beat Kostya Tszyu!! You aren't the real champ!"
And now Floyd finally decides to fight Hatton then its "Hatton was handpicked by Floyd he has so many holes" and etc etc etc he needs to fight Cotto.
And If he was fighting Cotto people would say "Floyd is no Zab judah he willstick to the openings Judah found and outbox the flat footed Cotto he needs to fight the guy who just beat the person who people think beat him and the person who beat the person who took his toughest opponent(judah) and starched him in 2 rounds I mean Ricky Hatton!"
And if he fought them both people would say "They just were overhyped anyway and flat footed and one dimensional he should fight Margarito who he's been ducking for years!!"
People will never be satisfied no matter what he does, I think I finally see Mayweather's point.

Hatton is cool to watch :hubbahubba:
Let's look at the competition and the performances
Cotto's last 5 fights
Judah trouble early leading to an impressive stoppage
Performance: EXCITING!!!
Urkal an underperformance
Performance: boring
Quintana shaky before he caught up with him
Performance: Normal
Malignaggi competitive fight which Cotto won by taking the championship rounds.
Performance: Exciting
Malignaggi and Judah are the only good names on there, Quintana I don't count as much because I never held Julio in high regard and especially won't now since that rivera fight.
Hatton's last 5 fights
Castillo, I don't think anyone could see that Castillo was past it. I'll give Hatton the victory, but it was the still 2 punch and grab style that made us go to sleep at the Urango fight
Performance: Normal
Urango... do I need to say anything
Performance: boring
Collazo.. again Do I need to say anything!?!? But good back and forth action mainly exciting as Hatton survived the onslaught he received.
Performance: Exciting
Maussa, you've got to be kidding me, it was a good stoppage however.
Performance: Normal
Kostya tszyu, his biggest win, amazing he's only had 5 fights after it.
Performance: Exciting
Best name on there was and is Tszyu and since then its been just a roller coaster ride. Even the Castillo fight was looking to head the same way before the body shot, the punch twice and grab of Hatton.
The names are there, but the competition isnt. I hope you get that.
Now lets look at Floyd's last 5
Oscar De La Hoya
A lot of hype and a Floyd Matweather fight in which he beat Oscar, and Oscar was more there then Tszyu was in the Hatton fight and showed he still has a lot to offer regardless Floyd Mayweather won the fight in his first fight at 154 and it was an exciting fight at times before he shut Oscar down.
Performance: more exciting then usual
Carlos Baldomir the undisputed welterweight champ and even if he isn't the greatest fighter, he beat Zab Judah too, and was the recognized welterweight champion Floyd fought him and beat him in a boring fight.
Performance: Boring
Zab Judah, this was an exciting fight where Mayweather faced fire early and came back to dominate Zab Judah, it was a good fight and not boring at all
Performance: Normal
Sharmba Mitchell warm up fight in which Floyd was exciting and dominate even slugging more often in which I included said he was much more wide open in this fight then any other before it because of his willingness to trade and go toe to toe.
Performance: Exciting
Arturo Gatti, one of the most exciting versions of Floyd Mayweather you can ever find at times appearing like it was only him fighting he was an offensive monster in this fight and very exciting.
Performance: Exciting and Dominant!!!!
So what were you saying?
And Hatton may be exciting or "funner to watch" to you.
But at the end of the day it isn't the most exciting fighter who wins. it's the better fighter and just because Hatton's more exciting doesn't make him a better fighter. Mayweather is, no matter how exciting, he's the better fighter.
