I think we both agree on this one. I rather see Mayweather face Hatton than Cotto or Margarito.

I agree. Did Mayweather win? Weeeeeeell, uuuumh, sure, but it was no total annihilation destruction punishment of De La Hoya like he claimed before the fight.

There is a video where he says that, so you cant argue it.
Would you really want to see a fight where Gatti was clearly beaten? Receiving punches from all angles out there, I am not sure if people would pay to watch something like that.
So what do you see in Cotto and Margarito that can beat Mayweather compared to Mosley, Hatton, or even a De La Hoya II?
What do I see in Cotto? Will, heart, determination, differnt looks, attrition, power, relentless attack, speed, take risks, destruction, sticks to his game plan from start to finish.
It is not what I see in Tony Margarito. It is what Floyd sees in Tony Margarito. Huge difference. Example? Duran. Leonard was afraid of Duran. Don't ask me why but he was and it was by his own admittance. Credit to Sugar Ray Leonard for facing his fears, taking the fight and willing to go toe to toe with his boogie man. He ran the second time but oh well. We all saw what happen. Anyway.. Floyd is afraid.
Mosley? Too old for me. I will cut Floyd up for fighting yet another old man.
Hatton? I would like to see Hatton/Mayweather. Hatton is no Baldomir. People say that the only way to beat Floyd is to come forward and be aggressive but Baldomir was egyptian old. Ricky is a young lion. It wont be an easy fight like most Floyd fans think.

yeah, cause cotto has faced way better opposition than mayweather ::**
Here we go. Cotto has faced about the same quality opposition if not better.
More undefeated fighters than Mayweather. Floyd fights old men.
Example? Gatti.
Even a Gomez can beat Gatti.
What did Floyd do after he beat an old Gatti?
He threw himself on the ground and began to cry. For what? He faught an old man who for the most part is not all that. ODLH destroyed Gatti about 6 years before Floyd Mayweather Jr did.
So why does Floyd have the pound 4 pound title? Because he can beat old men who had belts at the time he came thru? Gomez could have beat the fighters Floyd did. lol
So you think Gomez could beat Judah? I have my doubts that Gomez could even beat Sharmba.
I have no doubt that Gomez could beat Judah and Mitchell.
Judah is a one trick pony and if he can't knock you out, with that sneaky upper cut, he fades and falls apart loses focus etc etc.. His MO stands and I don't see Judah knocking out Gomez. Alfonso could hang. Mitchell is too old and Gomez would retire that @ss too.
Judah vs Gomez would be another Baldomir fight for Judah.
I have a really hard time believing that, your hatred of Judah is clouding your judgement.
Hatred? I don't hate the loud mouth wanna be gansta.
I don't think he is all that.
To me he is a one trick pony. If he can't knock you out with his tricky quick upper cut, he has nothing else and just falls apart. It ain't my fault but that is the way it is. He is pretty one dimensional if you ask me.
I like cotto as well and feel the same way about judah's style so that is why i don't understand why so many people make such a big deal that cotto beat him...

Cotto or Margarito vs Mayweather? Naaaaah, bring someone else.
Now you are talking out the side of your crack.
Have you not heard once Cotto destroys his opponents what they say after? He is a lot faster than I thought.
Quintana on his stool was yelling my liver! I am hurt. He is just too fast for me.
Tony on the other hand is a lot slower than Cotto. This still does not take away the fact that Floyd is was and always shall be afraid of Tony.
Will Floyd fight any of the guys in question? Hell no. So why do you even bring this up? Floyd has been fighting nothing but old men. Who cares about Pretty Boring Floyd. He is history. He should go fight Hatton which is the safest fight for him at the moment.
Judah now knows how fast Cotto is. Are you as stupid as Judah to run around still saying that Cotto is a robot? LMAO. The robot is faster than you think.
:appl:
Cotto is a :army:
BTW. Malignaggi who is blazing quick, made the same mistake in thinking Cotto was too slow. Ask Maliggnagi just how quick Cotto really is and he will tell you.
Why didn't Cotto knock out Malignaggi? Because Cotto broke his hand in the 5th.
No secret and yet Malignaggi still looked like he was hit and dragged by a freight train for about 20 miles LOL. No one had ever been even able to hit Malignaggi before Cotto.
Re: Margarito and Cotto have nothing for Mayweather
Good observation but paulie is no pbf....in any way.

IMO I give Judah a punchers chance against anyone. His hand speed is great and his power is very under-rated.
For me, admitting Judah is a good fighter gives more credibility to the wins of Cotto AND Mayweather, which IMO
they were important wins for both fighters. You are discrediting Cotto's biggest win by calling Judah one-dimensional.
Back to the original topic, I never though that Margarito would be a good challenge for Floyd, it would be a text-book PBF 140+ fight, Cotto on the other hand has the power to give anyone trouble, and while I feel Floyd would be very comfortable outboxing Cotto, it doesn't take much of Cotto's power to completely turn around a fight.

I guess the big deal was that Cotto has a questionable chin. He took enough of those upper cuts to make his chin not as questionable. Pretty solid if you ask me. Judah has destroyed many fighters with that upper cut. The fact that Judah gave Floyd a tough four or five rounds, made people believe that Judah would be too fast for Cotto. The baught the hype and they forgot that Cotto had already destroyed a very fast kid named Malignaggi. The only difference here was that Cotto was now facing a south paw with speed and power and yet neither were a factor. After watching the Cotto/Judah fight, I thought nothing more of Judah than before except that he showed more heart than in other fights. Judah is more one dimensional to me now than he was before. Cotto just keeps getting better.

Re: Margarito and Cotto have nothing for Mayweather
I have no doubts Big L wants nothing with Arum, Tony and Miguel still. You gat to see, Tony didn't become less threatening just cause he lost his world title, actually he became even more dangerous and hungry, Miguel is always a threat to anyone cause he's so physical and strong... Actually this post proves just one thing, Floyd's fans truly believe that both Tony and Miguel are not to be taken for granted otherwise they would not pick'em amongst the richness and variety of opponents at 147 pounds... Actually, I am getting pretty tired of these posts and Floyd doesn't fight anybody, he fought Baldomir and Hoya the way he fought, and you guys still talk, it's put up or shut up, so please stop pretending you are Floyd Mayweather - you are just guys who like the guy and back him up for some reason I can't understand, I like his boxing and can't really hate any pro fighter dat's fo' sure!

Judah is a good fighter he just fought better opposition, in Baldomir he just underestimate him. and wasn't prepared with Spikns we know what he did later to him.
PBF vs Judah was not a one sided fight PBF as well got hit a LOT by Zab, so don't bash con Cotto for geting hit by Zab as well when you come forward harder shots will be thrown at ya.
