Two more after that he equals the record of the great Dariusz Michalczewski and then Joe Luis is in his sights.
He could even go for Marciano's record of 49-0, he's 43-0 now so 7 more to set a new all time record.
If I was Joe, my plan would be as follows,
Kesler in November, followed by an easy keep busy fight against an unknown in the Spring of 08, then a summer clash with either Wright, Hopkins or Taylor, finishing with another relatively easy fight in Dec.
If won them all he would be at 46-0.
2009 he fight's Pavlik, followed finally by the grudge match with Froch. Bute would be a world champ by then I'm sure so a fight with him to end the year.
He's now 49-0 and he's beat Joe Luis' all time defenses record.
Now in his final fight he moves up to 175 and fights one the champs.
If he wins he goes 50-0 and retires undefeated having cleaned up in the record books with most defenses, having beat Marciano's record and enters the Top 10 p4p of all time.

Come on Joe, no pressure, make it happen!
3rd November Calzaghe is retired. No doubt at all.
Well, with Calzaghe having said that he is going to fight three more times, he won't be retiring on 3 November. And Bilbo, you can have a CC for the nice bit of fiction there, I just don't see Calzaghe really wanting it that much to get to 50. He's had a career plagued by injuries. Maybe a boxing version of a Darren Anderton figure... I see him fighting Kessler, one more tune-up fight, before going to the US for a light-heavy title fight before retiring.
