Why should ref not let him do that? Because your not allowed to hold and punch. Its not playing into PBF's hands its following the rules. I think Mayweather can beat Hatton on the inside or on the outside if Hatton doesn't hit in the clinch.

Im a huge Hatton fan
I will not give excuses if Hatton loses he choseand wanted this fight
and its not the end of his career if he loses against PBF
this is a bigger loss for PBF that it is for Hatton
he wont be weight drained
and if he cant hack it at a bigger weight then fine lesson learnt and lesson given by p4p best!!
there is no dissrespect at that
Ricky is not past his prime
and that was the whole point of this thread werent it????
to say come on lad's /lasses who eva wins, who eva loses no excuses
many Hatton fans wont complain even if he does lose
Re: Let us get this right about PBF
Forget arguing about what the excuses for losing are gonna be, What an excellent fight we have here, this is the fight we all wanted and now look like we are gonna get.
To me its simple if Hatton beats Floyd then hats of to him he is the new #1 P4P boxer on the planet! If Mayweather wins then it just cements what already know the guy is one of the best boxers of the last 20 years and probably the best in the business at the moment.
Personally I would love to see Ricky crack Floyd's rib cage like Castillo! (however tricky that maybe!!), but me like everyone else is gonna have to wait until the end of the year to find out!
Re: Let us get this right about PBF
PBF did not retire. To me it seems to be a ploy, I can hear him saying - "well if you want me to come out of 'retirement' it's gonna cost big $$$. And if I fight Hatton, Eddie Cotton has to be the ref."

Dude well he shouldnt let him hold coz this aint wrestling, its boxing. Boxing is you know where you punch, not where you hold and try to throw the other guy around. Wrestling and in-fighting are two different things mate ;) By the way one you should of covered is, floyd is weight drained ;)
Re: Let us get this right about PBF
I agree PPF will get the credit when he beats Hatton. ;D
Really I would love to see PPF down just once ,I would love to see what kind of heart he has.
Re: Let us get this right about PBF
Nobody's gonna use the PBF is washed up excuse, that's even dumber than Wlad's "I was drugged".
If Hatton wins, like people say, it will be because he's a dirty fighter. That will be the excuse. At least it won't be in Britain. Then if anything happened, it would be Hatton fighting dirty and getting away with it because of a British ref/crowd. Not like he needs to be in Britain to get away with wrestling, where did Ruiz fight most of the time?

If Hatton wins and anybody says its because of the "retirement" then that person is positively insane. Everyone knows that Floyd didnt retire. If he had retired he wouldnt be planning a fight within months of having his last one.

I think it'll be the lame ass Hatton ain't comfortable at 147 excuse
Yes, it will be that combined with "well, yeah Floyd won, but I don't give him any credit for it because he said he was going to rip Ricky's head off but instead he just won every round on points."

This is a quality fight between two excellent fighters. End of. Why all the nonsensical talk about excuses anyways?
If a fighter loses convincingly then there can be no excuses.
As for this - "well, yeah Floyd won, but I don't give him any credit for it because he said he was going to rip Ricky's head off but instead he just won every round on points." I do hope you are trying to be ironic here ::**

Come on man you've been on here long enough to know better than that............
Re: Let us get this right about PBF
Lets take this fight in reference to the Hatton Callazo fight, Callazo being the slick fighter like PBF, Hatton was lucky to get the decision. Bring in PBF, PBF is a much better boxer than Callazo and is like lighting compared to Callazo. I think PBF will rip Hatton to shreds and stop him. I'm a Hatton fan almost as much as I like PBF, But PBF is to much for Hatton. Mayweather Hatton http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=bGCII9AW5Go

Forgot to put that one in. Can here it now. Ricky was beat 108-120 but at 140 he would have ko'd PBF in 3.
At 140 I think Hatton gets stopped in 2
I do feel sorry for you.
