There's plenty of young talent around without us having to resort to watch senior citizens duke it out.

Look at how many weight classes don't have an undisputed champ!What weight class does at the moment?It doesn't seem to affect those weight classes.It is in no more shambles than most of the other classes.

I personally just like to see competative fights weather it is for a belt or not really doesn't change a whole lot.There are a lot more title fights when one champ doesn't hold them all and that is good for the fans.When Lewis was the undisputed champ there was only 1 to 2 title fights a year.

true but we know who the champ was lewis was the champion and who won it after him be the next champion but now we have 4 champions and yea Wald is the better of the bunch but it still no clear with out having a undisputed champion

You're wrong. The heavyweight division is not in shambles because it doesn't have an undisputed champ. The heavyweight division is in shambles because: 1) the lousy quality of the current titleholders, and 2) the amount of old fogies who see this, and want to either hang on way past their prime, or come back from retirement at an advanced age.
If you compare the quality of champions from the other weight divisions to the champions from the heavyweight division, you'll see my point.

Why shouldnt Evander still be fighting? Because hes not as good as he once was? Because he isnt the best heavyweight in the world anymore? A lot of fighters arent the best or arent as good as Holyfield was, or even as good as he still is now - does that mean they shouldnt be allowed to fight? Even if he were to drop as low as being ranked 100th in the world - so what? Does that mean every fighter ranked 101 and down should have their licence revoked? Boxers much worse that Evander is now fight week in and week out and no one has a problem with it. I mean ok his skills have declined and yes it is a shame that hes not the fighter he used to be but thats life, the fact that at his age Holyfield is still considered good enough to compete at the top level is anachievement in itself. Hes not being forced to fight on and its not like he has money troubles that are keeping him in the ring - hes a happy man doing what he loves and as long as he passes his medicals and keeps performing at the level he has shown recently what right does anyone else have to stop him.

Truth is, there is a lot more wrong in the situation where a guy is faced up with absolutely no chance to win and a complete likelyhood of getting his head knocked off if he tries to put up any sort of a fight. And that kind of thing happens every week on all the major cards everywhere. Where young energetic prospects pad there records and take in the experience of being in the ring against guys who are in the ring for the 3 digit payday that is assured to them.

I jsut dont want to see holyfield lose to oppistion that he could have beat if he was not so old and if he gets knocked out by this wbo champion it will be a sad day for me to see him get beat up by a young guy when he is 44 i jsut dont want to see it

I don't get it, the majority of people on this thread feel that Evander Should not be allowed to fight any longer, why?
1) Because he has too many tough fights
2) Because he's too old
3) He could get hurt
Take a close look at your reasoning and ask yourself what is too old? or too many tough fights? Unless he's completely demented or physically not qualified shouldn't Evander have a say in what he wants to do?
I for one don't want people that I don't know telling me what I can and can't do based on something as arbitrary as "too many"...Evander is an adult and he understands the risk of what he does and only he should make that choice....again if he's physically and mentally cleared.
