Im too far gone to avenge it. Career mode does suck .
Ive retired as Barrera and Toney already as undefeated P4P best fighters of their generation. And that was a long while back.
After being myself and retiring Im done with the game. ;)
Good now you should be ready for the real thing. 8)

I really like this game and asside from a little too much enfasis on counters I think gameplay if very good. However, career mode has a few things that take away from the game.
I like the idea of having rivalries but this game REALLY blew the idea way out of proportion.
Why is it that the guy I beat is the champion? What's the thrill of going up in weight and fighting for the title in a new weight class if its the same guy I already beat up like 4 times? I mean, If I am not mistaken there has only been 2 fighters in history who have ever been Middleweight champion and gone up to be a Heavyweight champion and imagine my supprise when my fighter is going to join this ultimate elite club and I see this same a-hole I have beat 5 times has already done this because he is the champion again??? I mean what are the fwoking odds of that? When my fighter fights for a title I expect it to be from some of the known champions not from this guy I already beat 5 times.
Talking about name champions. I like the idea that sometimes you fight these guys as you are coming up but it kind of sucks that that's about the only time you see them. Yesterday I fought Sugar Ray Robbinson and it sure as hell wasn't for the WW title it my fighters 5th fight and SRR had a reccord of 1 - 1. Here is a guy who won like his firs 90 somthing fights and according to this game he can't get by to fights without loosing???
OK vent over ;D In general, cool game. I can't wait to get internet set up to play on-line.
yeahh that ish is kinda whack
Re: Career mode frustrations
Yeah the rivalries are pretty annoying, although some parts of the game also let down a bit, like I'm playing with hagler and have him as "hook master" in the "bully" style. His left/right hooks are a lot faster than his jab, way faster. There's no point in even jabbing. Other than that the rivalries neeed to be sorted out, goes way over board and if you think after the first time of being punched at the weigh in my guy would punch first next time? Nope he takes it like a chump again, even though the's undefeated with all wins by knockout.
Re: Career mode frustrations
The career mode needs to get better.
