but at 32 years old and 70 fights under his belt (come the end of the month)
He has missed his chance.
Rumour has it that was a bit of a screw over... Any truth in that?
I did see the fight but only form about the 9th onwards.
Anways, aside form that. Thanks for your views guys. Clicks all round ;)
Augustus won that fight in my opinion, but I guess it could depend on how you were scoring it, Ward was definately landing the harder shot, but I saw Augustus landing the cleaner shots with more frequency - as well as demonstrating superior ring generalship. Regardless of who actually won, the scorecards were way off.

lol I always see Emmanuel Augustus jogging in the street. Im from brownsville texas its a small town, my cousin who boxes too knows him very well, he says augustus turns on rap music n then begings to shadow box to the beat of the song. Anyways.. this fight should put him up there if he wins...

Im thinking if he does a number on this guy he could well find himself back in in the mix with the ranked boys.
The thing is, this is Augustus were talking about. The guy never wins when he is supposed to. Never!
For what ever reason, Agustus has been an entertaining disapointment but none the less, he always has the ability to put his 'career' back on track. And always seems to find the opportunities to do so.... The fight with Kid Diamond being the most recent.
My question is, will Augustus ever do enough to at least get him self a title shot?
Augustus is a joke. He had talent at one time. But he threw it away. He doesn't deserve a title shot. He's a disgrace to boxing
I remember hearing about how he took a dive in the 12th round or something i haven't seen the fight but thats what i heard but yea he did have talent he broke Mayweather's nose and gave Mayweather a decent fight whatever happened to this guy i will never know this sounds like a case of wasted talent.

Thanks for the clip Sal :coolclick: that for certain looked like a dive only one punch out of that combo landed and there were all feather fisted punches sometimes boxing can be cruel.
