Re: If Hatton beats PBF, would he be fav against rest of WW's
As fans of both, I can't think of a more evenly matched fight for Hatton than Cotto. They remind me of each other in the way they've paved their careers.
Re: If Hatton beats PBF, would he be fav against rest of WW's
If Hatton beats Mayweather he would (and should) be favored against all other welterweights. Unless the judges botch the decision real bad and give Hatton a victory he didn't deserve, but if Ricky were to clearly beat Mayweather, then he's the man.

I don't agree at all if Hatton's style works against PBF, who excels in lower output high accuracy, super efficient defense.
How does that change how Hatton would do against say Williams with an extra 10" reach advantage high output offense IS defense fighter?
Re: If Hatton beats PBF, would he be fav against rest of WW's
The manner of victory would determine his standing but Hatton has no place campaigning as a welterweight. His unique brand of pressure fighting is highly dependent on Ricky possessing the physical advantages over his foe. At welterweight too much of his offensive arsenal is nullified for him to be a force. Regardless of preparation the Collazo fight encapsulated perfectly the inherent difficulties that Ricky would struggle to overcome. To answer the question, no.

I don't think the size of Williams height wise is important, look at Maussa or Tony Pep. Goodnight to both of them.
Williams has other attributes granted but height/reach shouldn't be an issue.

That's not the question that was asked, it's comparing apples to oranges to bananas
Mayweather, Cotto, Williams
Completely different builds, completely different styles.
Whether or not Hatton could nullify Williams reach advantage is moot to the question at
hand. PBF vs. Hatton tells us NOTHING about how Hatton will handle Williams reach and output.
PBF vs. Hatton tells us NOTHING about how Hatton could handle Cotto's power.

The thing with the WW division is that it is absolutely stacked with a very deep talent pool
There is someone that is excellent with every conceivable boxing style in that division.
If someone was to become a 3-alphabet unified Welterweight champ, they would
by all rights have a very strong claim for p4p top 3.
Re: If Hatton beats PBF, would he be fav against rest of WW's
No matter what he does against Mayweather I belive Hatton would lose to them all
Re: If Hatton beats PBF, would he be fav against rest of WW's
they need to have a tournament to see who is the best. Too much talent out there for us to be debating where would he rank. Have them all fight each other to see who is the best.
Re: If Hatton beats PBF, would he be fav against rest of WW's
No way would Hatton beating Floyd mean he would be favourite against the other WW's I'd favour Cotto,Shane,Paul and Tony over him and Cintron would put him to sleep.

Williams was hardly anyones pick to beat Hatton before the Margarito fight and the result of that affected people's opinions on his chances against Hatton. If Hatton beat Mayweather, the same people would probably do the same thing again and go back to picking Hatton.
Fact Mayweather>>>>>>>>>Margarito
Williams threw wildly and with poor accuracy in that fight. He won on volume alone, Margarito was never in much trouble of a KO. Do people really think that Hatton would not be able to find any room on the inside of this guy? Give me a break.
Mosley and Cotto are definitely tough fights for Hatton, but I believe he would make williams look poor. Remember, more height means more bone which means less muscle and therefore less power.
