Wouldn't go as far as to say it's a needed one but Witter takes Hatton 12 and out foxes him in a bore fest of a result in his favour.
Hate to say it but Jnr could frustrate Rick and blag one. ;)

its always good to know what the "world wide independant boxing mafia" think on a topic, thankyou for the input...
however i think hatton would be all over witter (as he's gonna be against mayweather) from the opening bell. he would make witter pay for years of trash talking :o

Nope. Hatton would outclass him. It's pointless. The only reason i'd want to see it is to see Witter get knocked on his ass.
However, if Witter really wants Ricky's attention, he should do what Hatton did to get Mayweather's. Go and impressively beat Castillo, then make a point of saying to Hatton "this shows I can do what you can, only much better."
Witter's problem is his mouth. The reason Hatton goading Mayweather worked, is he was saying stuff that had some truth to it like "that fight was more exciting than Mayweather has produced of late". Witter on the other hand, thinks him facing Harris is a fight between the 2 best light-welters in the world. It's just blatently a bollocks statement, and doesn't make Hatton mad, it more makes him laugh.

Similar to if I said: "If I went in the ring with Audley Harrison, the winner would undoubtedly be the best heavyweight of all time."

Exactly. The answer to that is quite obviously that neither of you could be without facing Naseem Hamed and beating him.
