At this point, I bet Winky has a hard time getting below 160, let alone 154..... let alone 147.
This is basically Winky's way of saying he's desparate to fight DLH.

It's probably posturing but if he says he is ready to go there then maybe he is. He definitely doesn't belong anywhere above 160.Quote:

Don't get me wrong, I definitely don't want him at 147. I think 160 is better for him but there isn't money there anymore and 168 is to tempting there. The guys are to big for Winky above 160.
I can't see that happening. What about Pavlik/Wright if Pavlik wins, or Pavlik v the Kessler/Calzaghe winner? That makes much more sense. Even Oscar at 154 or 160, but it's kinda pointless to me....then again, Wright v. Hopkins was kinda pointless.
What is he nuts? Winky will never make 147lb in a million years. That fight could only be made at 154lb and even then i'm not sure Winky would be right at the weight. ( Sorry about the pun)
I still think Forrest is the best fight out there for DLH, why not try and beat the guy who beat Mosley twice?
$,$$$,$$$.00 yepQuote:

If Winky's in the ring weight is 170lbs, it would be possible to get down to 147lbs, but he'd look like a chemo patient on the scale.
THANK YOU! Expose Is The Perfect Term.I also Like Glory boys,Networks and fans Lay Money Down For Big Names To Fight ANYONE.It Reminds Me Of Filling A Baloon With A Pen Hole In it.A few fighters are pulling these spectacles off IMO:Roy Jones Jr. Vs. Tito Trinidad....Who cares.I Mean Aside From NAme celebrity and what once was WHO really thinks this fight is Interesting.Im Sorry, but its a damn senior tours fight .Similarly,I think wright vs. de la hoya could be OK at jr.mid.,but winky is not making 147,No Way No How.Quote:

I bet Wright vs mayeather would make huge money. DLH can't be the ONLY big payday out there for him. I'm with Julius and Jeff on this one.
Thanks Slk 123,But wright-Mayweather? ???I Think That May Make The Point Of "expose" .That would be Off there Names and there status, not so much there respected rivals and Best Competition in there divisions. It Would Sell Tickets(?) but Imo,It Does Nothing FOr Boxing Right Now.Quote:

147 is a long way for Wright to drop! But if he thinks he can do it then he deserves a shot at DLH. I think Wright should school Spinks @ 154 1st before trying to drop straight to 147!
What was his last fight at ...170? so he think he's losing 23pounds to go fight De La Hoya...yeh course he is ::** He's probably just keeping himself in the spotlight cant see what for i cant think of any god match up's for wright at the moment???
Everyone may very well want Oscar for the $$$ but Wright sounds a bit too desperate here. He's not young anymore, this yo-yoing in weight is going to have an adverse affect on him! I don't even think he can make 154 anymore or it would be certainly be a struggle.
And hypothetically speaking, IF he could make 147,I would not be interested in seeing that fight at all. A cash of styles and what would it prove? Wright needs to man up and take the dam $5million JT's team offered for a rematch >:mad
So he could get robbed again by the JT crew. I am hoping that Kelly has the firepower to make a home brewed decision impossible. Not that I don't like JT but I don't really like anyone in the fact that they get gift decisions.
Actually its called desperation, going down to 147 are you serious? and nobody has done the same, go down and lose 23 pounds to fight oscar?Quote:

cash in huh? well ok go ahead and believe its ok for fighters to cash in. I guess you will buy this for sure to be ppv if it does happen. well I hope you enjoy the fight, do you think it'll be a great fight? well that does not matter, why don't you just give winky the $50 you would be paying ppv for. Hell its basically the same, they are basically robbing you for them to cash in. Don't you get it, this is exactly whats wrong with boxing. Cash in is not what fighters do, and supporting this kind of behavior is not what fans are suppose to do. No wonder the sport is going down the drain, as corrupt the sport is, is as gullible and willing the remaining fans are to cough up their money for any stage fight.Quote:
