It's not about Pride's alleged superiority, it's no lie that Shogun beat the hell out of Rampage and all those other guys, Forrest just put on a clinic tonight. Ground defense was perfect and he always kept his hands moving. Shogun could have never have even bargained for that.

I mentioned in earlier posts that this could happen and it did. When even Dana White acknowledged Shogun as the number 1 205 pounder,that's saying something. No-one can get used to a different set of rules in a fight when they have been fighting by other rules for their entire career.

Shogun was gassed by the end of the first round...Outside of some nice roll outs and a few takedowns he was pretty much completely ineffective. Forrest looked pretty good. I gotta say that there has to be some credence to the rampant steroid use in Pride, b/c outside of Silva and Rampage the crossovers have all looked sluggish and tired
