PBF or Hatton Fan

I like em both, i'll be happy no matter who wins if it's a decent fight, i'm a boxing fan first and pbf is the best there is so i'd have to lean more towards his way if forced into a choice. Now who i think will win is different, i think pbf wins, skill wise this fight isn't even close imo. There will be a ton of hatton supporters to see pbf loose, not ricky hatton win.

What happened to my post ??? Well, I'll keep it simple instead of rewriting it again. I like em' both for different reasons. I like fights and fighters. :)

I doubt very much that any kids growing up have been influenced to do so by Ricky Hatton mate, most probably don't know who he is and would much more likely get their role models from the worlds of pop and rap.

50 Cent, Tupac, Amy Whinehouse, Lilly Allen, Pete Docherty and the like are kids rolemodels nowadays.

If only kids these days were just into drinking :-\

My point is that the contingent of kids who do participate in boxing in Britain will be lookin upto one of three/four guys namely, Ricky, Joey C, Junior Witter and Enzo MAC. These kids could be potential health freaks but when they see their idol goin out and doin the dog on it, they'll think wow if the world champ can do it and be fit so can we.
Like i said its a small contingent that decide to box, just dont want to see those numbers diminished more by alcohol and substance abuse.

I can't think of hardly anyone who is more clean cut than Ricky really. Compare him with other sporting stars like Freddie Flintoff, Phil Tufnel and any professional footballer and he's practically a saint. No scandalous revelations, no hit and runs or drink driving convictions, no failed drug tests, no roastings of young teen girls.

He just likes a beer and a plate of chips when he's not training. I've never seen any articles with him trashing pubs or abusing hotel staff.

I doubt he's any different to you mate. He hardly looks like he's abused his body or wasted his talent either does he? George Best was a bad role model, Ricky Hatton is a great one imo.

Ricky is very different to me, He's a much much better boxer and a lot fitter than me to boot.

Point well taken in comparison to the others he is definitely built in Gods image.

Massive Hatton fan - i dont admire hardly any sportspeople as there is so much hype and cheating imo. Thats where Hatton is a breath of fresh air in my mind - respect for everyone, a student of his sport, and modest about his talents, someone who respects everyone and encourages everyone around him to make the best of themselves,

He tells the world, if I can do it from a council estate, so can you. I think hes just the best

Plus in the ring he is an animal - like a Rocky film - and I just love it !!

Michael Jordan was supposedly quite a self serving asshole when he wasn't playing ball... Doesn't mean you can't be a fan of him based on his ability... Honestly your being a bit thick here... You don't have to like an athlete's character, or even know anything about it, to be a fan of them... To say you don't understand how anyone can be a fan of Floyd is stupid. He's a great technical boxer who's skills and dedication to his sport should be admired by any boxing fan. Why should I care what he's like out of the ring, that's not what Im interested in watching. Besides he's in a sport where the character he shows serves him well.. You have to believe your the best in boxing.. I could spin it right around and say I don't understand how Hatton is so popular just because he comes across as a regular working class guy, he has an ugly fighting style that I don't find appealing to watch most of the time.. I sure as hell don't think much of Mayweather from what I've seen of him as a person... And Im sure as hell not some wannabe thug or whatever you'd like to think. And I think his never having lost just makes him taking big fights all the more interesting, whether your a fan or not.. I wouldn't give 2 shits if he lost on a personal level, I simply admire his ability and enjoy watching him fight.
