Lyle,
I wasn't aiming that at anyone in particular. Your knowledge of the EPL far outstrips my knowledge of the NFL and I live in the home of this years future Superbowl Champions....... ;)
Gerrard is defo up there with the best..... The fucker still has the grudging respect of all Hammers fans for his goal in the last minute of the 2006 FA Cup...

Sorry Taansend i think it's your football knowledge that needs improving ;D
Jam Molby did play in the premiership he was at Liverpool until i think 95/96. Premiership started in 1992.
Re: The Greatest players ever to grace the Premier League?
Big Al (Shearer)
To have followed his career like i have is to really understand what this guy done, with limited teams, with numerous career ending injurys and to change and adapt like he did there is no one in my opinion who can be compared to him in the prem.
As a youngster he had pace skill, could whip defenders and bang in screamers from outside the box for fun... Chris sutton looked world class next to Shearer, nothing without him.
As he aged and through the injuries he changed his came, when his pace went he became the old fasion tough hold up forward and was still one of the best scores in the league...
The guy played with his heart on his sleave in every match, never give up, never stopped, was never one to dive or really bitch or whine about anything.

While I disagree with PREME's lust for broken bones, I do agree with his lust for Shearer. He was a legend and I think that his choice of sticking with losing teams only adds to his excellence... Shearer is an all time great...
Re: The Greatest players ever to grace the Premier League?
I completely forgot Ruud and I'd like to add Matt Le Tissier,Southampton player. The things he done with the ball,at such an average team too!
