Well some positive points can be drawn from that fight:
1)He didnt go down: Totally exhausted and in my opinion ill-prepared he fought a Good Welter and took a whole trailer load of punches. Had he taken a knee he would have lost the fight.
2)He did win the first six: Even if every round was close he did win the first six against a very slick boxer, not bad seein as he was'nt ready.
3)Its in the memory: That fight is in the past, stored now in his mind and converted to "expierience," they were the hardest 12 rds. Hatton ever went against the best "boxer," he ever faced so far. Hopefully this will stand to him in the future and god knows he will be desperate not to let the same thing happen again.

40 odd fights and one close decision? Come on. People get on Hatton's case too much over that fight.
taansend hit the nail on the head - Hatton was meant to impress, Collazo was a nobody, it was a close fight so naturally the big-star-fav takes the flak ;)

Thing is Collazo isnt a nobody, he's a good boxer and a guy il root for when i see him fight next.

For sure, and he's fought Mosley thanks to Hatton making his name. But he was a nobody going into the Hatton fight.

Im not going to sadclick you but Collazo was not robbed the knockdown Hatton scored in the first round was the clincher for Hatton it was very close fight but by no means a robbery that word is used to many times in boxing.
This was the classic case of Hatton landing more punches but less effective punches and Collazo landing less punches but the more effective punches i have watched this fight many times and i had Collazo winning by 1 point before but now i have Hatton winning by 1 point argument could be made either way but i think there should of been a rematch like with Mayweather vs Castillo.

Nah it was a fair call, more of a slip from fatigue, i was more emotionally involved in that last round than i have ever been in any other fight ever.

Hatton was the big favourite so people expected him to win. When he didn't win easy it clouds your judgement. The same thing happened to Ali in his later fights and also to Lewis V Klitchsko.
What ?? im sorry but did you just say you thought Leonard deserved to beat Hearns in the rematch ?? no way in hell bro the only round that could of been scored 10-8 is the 5th round no way was the 12th round a 10-8 round because Hearns was winning that round just before Leonard had him hurt even Leonard himself admitted he lost enough said.

Haven't watched in a while just seem to remember that Hatton was hit and he staggered forward and was lucky not to have it called a knockdown boxing away from home infact im quite suprised that the judges had the scoring so accurate for the away fighter well 115-112 is a little off but you get my point.

I never said he was well & truely robbed. For a minute there yiou made me think i had.
I just said he really was robbed. As in everyone was saying he was and wow, you know what Collazo really did looked like a winner in that fight.
It seemed that every round Collazo was winning, he was winning it BIG! Hatton only really had a couple of good rounds (none if you go by his standard).
It looked like Collazo was the boss & he finished in style.
