Manny Pacquaio vs. Willie Pep at featherweight

If it goes 15 rounds i would favor Pep more i even favor Saddler more two that is hwy i hate comparing people so far because if it goes 15 i think that might go against pacman to be honest with you but i could be wrong just wanted to point that out for you guys

But he was severely injured in a plane crash Jan 8 of that year. Many thought he had lost something as a fighter especially after unexpectedly struggling in fights against Archie Wilmer (Pep won a majority decision) and Pedro Biesca (Pep was floored in the fourth round).

Not so much forgetting ICE , the point im making is,its all guess work, nobody is unbeatable , and Pac certainly in the best of 3 has a chance with anyone in history :)

I fully agree. If there is one thing sure in boxing, it's the chance that one elite boxer can defeat another elite boxer.

No Brucelee you misunderstood he was bringing up Saddler fights and i was pointing out that Pep had very bad accident and he was never the same after that and Saddler didn't beat a prime Pep.

I watch the fights i know pepe was not prime but i would not rule out Saddler beating Pep during any time in his career

anyway, with the way pacquiao is knocking his opponents through his speed and power, he might have a chance against Pep.

ICB, no offense meant, this is what I mean when i said I am not really comfortable with match ups that won't happen.

I think Pep would win a decision he would frustrate Pacquiao alot but i think Pep at some point in the fight would be dropped but survives to win decision.

I still think that Saddler fight would be more interesting i still pick Saddler

pac is prolly the best as in strongest fastest and best conditioned compared to pepe's past oppenent.

pepe is prolly the best defensive and elusive fighter pac will ever face.

after saying that, I think if pepe can avoid pac for 12 rounds he should win a u.d

but if pepe can't avoid the constant attack of pacman he is sure to get hurt, and if he can't handle the pain pac dishes out, pac will win by k.o in the late rounds.

this is like unstoppable offensive versus brilliant defense. I say its a toss up depends whos day its on ;D

Ice, Saddler had Peps number. I no that it isn't the nicest thought. Thee master boxer being dominated by a decent boxer who gained the advantage by resorting to crude and often illegal tactics.
I realise that every true boxing connaseur is bothered by the fact that Pep just didn have enough to overcome the larger yet less polished fighter. But unfortunately the situation is that Saddler proved himself to be too uch for Pep.
Not once but on numerous occasions. The accident didnt stop Pep beating almost everybody else that attempted to fight him, so it is not fair to pin the losses to saddler to that factor.

Just watch him against Saddler 2, the best performance he ever put forward.

Saddler Knocked Pep out bad when they first fought he was a dirty fighter but had a chin of steel and hands of steel that hurt Pep bad.

Lyle i am not saying that it was Pep that made Saddler have power and a chin i said that because out of his 144 wins he had a 103 Kos and was never stopped in a 162 fights just to make sure i was not just basing that off Pep i mean Saddler was a beast when he was fighting and was a dirty fighter.
