Not you...I suppose when I make a statement like that I should be more specific & include something like "you know who you are" when referring to the "Rabid Pac-Fans" that I am speaking of...& they most definently know who they are.Quote:

Know what I mean?
I think you might have taken that wrong, keypool. It wasn't a slight against you. I think that your posts & threads have all been open minded & also informative. A budding asset to the forum whether or not you consider yourself a boxing fan or not...you conduct yourself respectfully & your debates are all within the bounds of good friendly discussion.Quote:

I hate it because it generally pits poster against poster & in my opinion often get's new posters sucked in to a baseless arguement that either ends up getting them banned for bickering or just turns them off the forum altogether.
Useless tactic, IWO, that ends up doing nothing but starting trash that dirties up the forum.
Trust me when I say this...posters like you & keypool that discuss without starting S*** are what makes the forum tick.Quote:

I have no issues with Pacquiao...I think that he's exciting & good for boxing. I was actually sucked into all of his hype the minute that he blew through Barrera.
I have no problem with him beating Marquez in a rematch...but I want it done convincingly & I want the outcome to hurry the hell up & happen.
Again...I have no issues with fans that talk sense...I could say the same thing about Hatton-Fans or Floyd-Fans because there have been many on this forum that have come & gone...but the ones that stayed are the ones that concede that any man is beatable & every dog must have his day.
The way I see it is this: There is no wrong in reveling in the fact that your favorite fighter is having his day...but you have to understand that (by that I mean : WE as fans) that day will most likely come to an end & you'd be prepared for it.
To turn it around on meself & make it more clear : It's the way that I handle Floyd & Cotto...& I say I'm a huge fan of Floyd & Cotto.
If one or the other loses...then he does...there is no use making up excuses & starting arguements over the loss...because it is going to happen.
I am sweating the hell out of the months of November & December...but at the end of the night...no matter what...the better man won.
Anywho...I'm gettin off track.

CC in 24. I totally agree and have been guilty of this myself. There are too many posters aiming to start debating wars and get "1ups" on other posters when alot of the time, there is a debate about nothing. If there is a point to discuss and debate about the point, then by all means, discuss it,but to start threads and debates for absolutely no purpose other than that to start arguments is foolish. Great posting my man.

We make a lot of our chums upset & put them at odds by doing so.
It's not something that we all thrive on...but it does keep it honest.

Nobody is trying to start any kind of "debate wars ::**" just trying to start a good debate. That's all
i agree to what everybody here has to say. CC to everyone. but like what gamo said, some people here just start thread to get "rabid fans" of any fighter to get going. like the other thread here, "pacman, nowhere to run". i mean, we all know pac was not the one running from jmm so as a standpoint to any pac fan, we would have to respond to that. and there are others who posts so arrogantly that everytime you respond to their post it makes you look like a nuthugger but you are just basically making your point. but CC to gamo, to wacko to keypool and to bruce.

Perhaps an attention grabbing topic title is a way to bring all fans (or non fans) in the thread.
Next time, read the content before posting ;)
Frozen, I think i'm the only guy around here that understands you. We all know I'm a pacfan, but I think we similar in the way we express a point sometimes. I guess we can be too aggressive for most of our sensitive saddonean brothers.

I'm going with the latter, it's a boxing forum........ not a womens lib forum ;)
either way we all gotta make adjustment bro. the forum is for everybody so we have to find ways to all get along.Quote:

The lone exception being JMM 1. he knew what to expect but still was unable to avoid that terrible 1st round. MAB 1 was a case over underestimating PAC and camp disruptions. Well we all saw that although he remained competitive he was never the same again. EM had no business even receiving fights 2 & 3 with emphasis on #3.
A RECIPE FOR THE HOLIDAYS: NUTHUGGERS DELIGHT
JMM has looked very slow a foot and easy to hit. Furthermore lets review what he has done lately and his opponents since Pac1:
Orlando Salido - UD wake me zzzzzzzzzzzzzz
Victor Polo - UD wake me zzzzzzzzzzzzzz
Chris John UD lost
Terdsak Jandaeng - KO 7 Took a good beating and had eye severely cut
Jimrex Jaca - KO 9 was consistently hit by Jaca's jab. Jaca's lack of power lost it for him.
Marco Antonio Barrera - UD Battle of the sloths: Hardly the fight that was hyped and was knocked to
the canvas.
MAB has looked very slow a foot and easy to hit. Furthermore lets review what he has done after Pac 1:
Paulie Ayala - KO 10 - Poor Paulie too slight a puncher to be of any risk
Erik Morales - UD EM Already showing signs of deteriorating skills and slow to counter
Mzonke Fana - KO 2 ............. "Who?"
Robbie Peden - UD just what is was a tune up
Rocky Juarez - SD " Who is faster the turtle or the sloth? 1 dimensional fighter. Rocky robbed.
Rocky Juarez - UD tune up race for track meet with PAC. Just run baby run!
Juan Manuel Marquez - UD Battle of the sloths: Hardly the fight that was hyped. It is visible the
guy just can not slip punches as well anymore.
Pac - UD lost MAB entered the ring with a deposit slip to his bank account and then
ran for 12 rounds prior to seeing a teller.
EM has looked very slow a foot and easy to hit, resorts to countering with his face. Will do anything for a buck as in promote San Miguel over Corona. Furthermore lets review what he had done after Pac1 and his opponents:
Zahir Raheem - UD lost Thought I was watching a cartoon as EM got slapped silly. Simply put:
a worn out boxer "FIN"
Manny Pacquiao KO 10 lost just how does she get this fight after the last showing
Manny Pacquiao KO 3 lost just how does he get this fight? This is what an old man with ED
looks like. Signs 2 contracts 1 for the fight and the other with
San Miguel. Think Pac would do a Corona / Tecate commercial after
a beating ? lol .... never
So I beg to differ that a victory over JMM will make PAC a legend outside of Phils. If yo mute the previous fights over past their time Mexican boxers and rely on your senses only. You will see slow, plodding boxers, diminished skills, no muscle definition, low punch output per round and poor stats leading up to their confrontations. It is physically apparent that neither brought power up to the weight class as PAC was able to do. Perhaps the JMM fight Will be staged in a convalescent home so therefore he can be admitted bedside next to EM and MAB.
I can see/smell the fresh air on the horizon with storylines of a slugfest with Valero. Revenge for his brother with Soto. Is Joan really a man or a woman? These boxers may not have the resumes of the forementioned elders but at least they have legitmate power and energy. The secret lies in our minds and the time that binds. In my opinion these fights are what will define Pac and lead him to the next class in weight and true competition. There he will need to fend off power shots directed at him for a change and deal with physically stronger opponents.
Addicted to_boxing,
Watch again the Pacman vs Morales 2 fight and all the fights you have mentioned. I really doubt if you know what you are saying. As for me, I have watched again the Pacman vs Morales 2 and I can tell you that Pacman was not fighting a shot Morales there.
what do you mean PAcquaio ending his senior's tour? PAcquaio hardly got a draw from Marquez. Many still believe Marquez won that fight based on counter punching. Morales gave a boxing lesson to pacquaio during their first fight. Don't tell me that after 1 year Morales immediately became shot.
As far as I know, PAcquaio had a hard time knocking Larios and Solis. Who are they compared to Barrera, Morales and Marquez? Are you now discrediting the wins(draw) of Pacquaio over Barrera, Morales and Marquez?
You beg to differ that a win by Pacquaio over JMM will make Pacquaio a legend outside the Philipipines?
For your information, PAcquaio is already a legend outside the Philippines. He is pound for pound #2 and the most exciting fighter out there.
please.... please.... can you just simply give Pacquaio the respect he deserves?
.......and may I also add : please stop disrespecting Morales, Barrera and Marquez if you are not sure with what you are saying.
You surely deserve an sc but I won't be giving you that coz I will be expecting that you will retract what you have just alleged. O0
Maybe it's just that a vast number of your "sensitive saddonean brothers" are just getting sick & tired of hearing other members complain about your antics.Quote:
