Boston's up 2-1 and the bases are loaded
Waste of a great situation...they shoulda brought out more runs than that from that innings.Quote:

I really thought Colorado were going to get a few more points in the early innings last night, but they let Boston stay in touch and paid the price. It's a big challenge ahead of them now.
...it's not over until the last out.Quote:

It's not over until the last out...I'm happy the Sox are up and I hope they can sweep but honestly I just hope they win in 4 or in 7 as long as they win
Bill Buckner ain't around no more. This series is over. JD Drew for MVPQuote:

You have to remember the Rockies are still a good team and you never know what Dice-K and Lester will do pitching in Coors Field...the breaking balls won't act the same and plus those guys are rookies.
Stop making excuses for Buckner. It was a simple ground out. All he had to do was pick it the fuck up. He didn't. Cuz he chocked. And only a fucking fool would consider Dice-K an actual rookie. He's pitch in pressure situations before. And Lester is no rookie. How you figure he is? But it doesn't even matter if they get bombed or not. Cuz I think Boston hitters are going to kill Colorado's pitching.Quote:

The series is 2 games at Boston 3 games at Colorado and 2 games at Boston.
Buckner made an error but what about the wild pitch? What about how none of Boston's relievers would throw a fucking fastball?
You're not a Red Sox fan and therefore do not understand all that went wrong in 1986
Lyle, this ain't 86. I'm a real Sox fan, I remember every disaster since 1978. I live in Boston and listen to WEEI everyday and listen all the negativity, and I've lived through my share of it. This is not the same team. The dirty little secret about most of the other teams that choked/got unlucky/didn't win is that they weren't as good as this team or the 2004 team. The 86 Mets were the better team, and honestly, so were the 2003 Yankee's. Of course anything can happen, but there is a better chance of Hatton beating Mayweather than Colorado coming back on Boston.Quote:

I know how Boston has done bad in past experiences and I know how Boston came back in 2004 so I never rule anything out.
....I would also love the Red Sox to win in Fenway but hell I'll take another World Series win away from home.
I was really worried about the first base and no DH issue but honestly Ortiz is a decent firstbaseman, compared to Youk he sucks but Youk is a gold glover and he's a HUGE upgrade from Doug Mientkiewicz who was a great fielder but a horrible batter.
i don't believe in any team jinx, and the team this year has nothing to do with the past especially way back in 1986. The year i was born ;)
this is actually kind of new for the red sox, they aren't the underdog and they are not the ones down 2-0.
OK guys, tonight is the third game of the series, and I've picked Boston as the home team to claim victory in the first two, however I think they're gonna struggle to acclimatise to the altitude so quickly, and I reckon Colorado will take this one. I know virtually nothing about the game, but I reckon Rockies by 7-4, or a three run margin.
What're your picks folks?
