Snakey, my old mate.
If Bute and Mundine fight each other and then the winner makes 5 defences they may deserves a chance to fight Calzaghe. He's now on a different level to those chaps. I know that they deserve the chance as much as Froch but Froch happens to live 150 miles up the road. ;)
Briggs and Adamek. No. Sorry. Why should he fight 2nd rate fighters when he's definitely top tier?
:coolclick: #451, Taany. No one...& I MEAN NO ONE @ 168lbs needs to bother tossing their name into a pot with Calzaghe. Especially not Mundine or Bute.
I know that Kessler wants a rematch...& Kess is THE fighter that I hinge hope at 168lbs (in the wake of Joe leaving) on...but he aint gonna get one & you can't fault Joe at not giving him one. There are bigger fish to fry that are...well...bigger fish.
He's got Hopkins talking...& about Yankee Stadium...if that can be made...Hopkins WILL be there.

I'd like to see him fight Pavlik then the winner of the Jones Trinidad fight.
What makes you think he can handle a stronger puncher in Pavlik.

Calzaghe has a great chin and great skills. Pavlik is a fantastic prospect with a huge heart. I would pick Joe to win a fight between them at this stage. Too much too soon for Kelly. Lacy was at least a good a prospect as Pavlik is and look what happened to him.
