Calzaghe will probably agree to the 60-40 split if he can keep the UK TV money. That's what happened with Mayweather-Hatton. Ricky is getting 20-30% of his purse from Sky.

I igree. JC is more recognize than B-hop at least just at leas a 50/50 has to be maid, either way JC will keep filling to stadiums.

i see Calzaghe as the hot topic and flavor of the month right now so Hopkins should be the one trying to make this fight happen at all cost. Well not that he needs it, but, i don't think he should be trying to negotiate a 60/40 purse.

I did indeed and i just though Hopkins could out muscle Joe and rough his way to a win but after seeing Joe take those shots off Kessler i've changed my mind.
Joe has a better chin imo and i shouldn't have doubted him.

Jones priced himself out of fighting Hopkins a few years back by wanting a 60-40 Split. And now Hop is trying to do the same to Calzaghe.

I think if Joe is keen to fight BHOP he should just call his bluff. 40% would still be bulk$$$ and he'd get the fight he wants. This would give Joe even more respect amongst fans cos it would show that he is after the big fights and not just the money.
I mean Joe C is already rich, so whether he makes 4 million or 6 million dont really matter.

Your not fighting for money anymore Joe, take the fight and give him another loss. Then deal with all the American fans claiming that Hopkins was old and you will wonder why you ever bothered. Or look for another fight and get called a coward. He can't win really can he?

Nah, he been doing that his whole career and he is seeking the big fights for his legacy now I reckon. He can sell out a large venue fighting nobodys if he wanted to.
