That was at 140, I havent really seen Cotto rocked since he went Welter, Cotto seems to be much more sturdier and full at 147.
Zab Judah was landing SNIPER shots and hurt Miguel a few times but those SHOTS that Judah was landing, took out a gang of fighters. Miguel's chin is not as questionable as we once thought it was. Shane Mosley dropped bombs and Cotto was basicly un-phazed and fired back some bombs of his own. Miguel's jab alone was putting the 'HURT' on Shane. Cotto would have a great day against Floyd Mayweather Jr. We saw the success Oscar De La Hoya had with his jab against Floyd. Cotto's jab is much more devastating than Oscar's. Cotto would give Floyd nightmares in the ring. Cotto did it to Shane in great fashion. Cotto also out classed Judah and Paulie whom were all considered very fast compared to Cotto. There is one thing Cotto is learning and that is TIMMING. Timming kills speed any day of the week. Floyd would be brutalized by Miguel. I am dead serious about this people. Bob Arum has been grooming Miguel for years for the day Miguel faces Floyd. This fight should be inevitable. Miguel will beat Floyd if they ever square off in the ring. Mark my words. You can't alter destiny. ;)

Not sure about the whole destiny thing but i can see Cotto winning against Flyode i think Cotto is the best Welterweight now because he has better wins. And nice to see people are starting to see some reason that Cotto will win a fight with Floyde i think he will win and hope he does.

your on point then you got a little to carried away there turbo....
Re: After seeing cotto SSM again i change my pick..
i dont think you can judge how well Cotto will do against Floyd based on the Mosely fight because Shane was willing to mix it up and try and fight Cotto's fight. Floyd would allow Cotto to come forward and pick him off with quick counters basically fight on the back foot all night long to a UD.
Re: After seeing cotto SSM again i change my pick..
I think he could catch PBF and win a UD all depends on how the judges scores it i think Cotto could keep up with Floyd.

Quintana seemed to hurt him pretty bad with body shots early on before Cotto whooped rase
and
Judah rocked him badly in the opening round.
Seems to me tho, the longer the fight go's on the harder it will be to get Cotto out of there......no matter who he is fighting.
Re: After seeing cotto SSM again i change my pick..
People over exagerate Cotto's chin. How many times has he been down?Once and he was pushed. He was wobbled by Judah's uppercuts but not seriously hurt and Judah was winding those up BIGTIME so FULL power. He was rocked by Corely. Those are the ONLY times he's been hurt visibly. I don't see that as a bad thing. The only question mark I have is can he take the punch of a FULL BLoWN WW-Cintron and Margarito come to mind.

Cotto's chin is the only thing that people have to criticize about him...i used to think his chin was weak too, but most of those shots he took that wobbled him he never saw coming those would wobble anyone...i also credit that to his own defense the way he kept his guard so high that sometimes he blocked his own vision, but it seems as though he has really grown comfortable with his shell and can see everything therefore shots that seemed to hurt him he can now see and take them. So cotto is ready...
And I thank the sport of boxing for giving me another tito to root for...even though i was pulling for shane, but didn't really care if he lost to cotto, cotto's worthy unlike if ricky beat pbf, then i'll still not give ricky credit because i just don't like his style and don't think i ever will.

Mosley would be in hell in a fight with PBF...Shane doesn't move like he used to..He once used to have excellent movement, he beat oscar in the first fight when oscar has one of the most accurate rights in history and couldn't land one clean on shane. Also congrats to cotto because i needed a new fighter to replace tito as one of my favs and now its cotto.
And I think after that, floyd-cotto isn't happening...but i can say cotto-delahoya....delahoya is mouth watering for that fight and would love to beat the young champ, but i'm afraid oscar might be beaten to a bloody pulp in that fight...I want cotto-pbf, there's more to gain for cotto instead of margarito...a fight with margarito only makes sense if someone just wants to see a champ fight an overrated ex-champ now contender. it might be entertaining but there's nothing to gain for cotto and that's a several steps backwards for him....pbf,hatton,williams those should be is fight unless he wants oscar for a huge payday....
First Mosley never moved a whole lot at any point in his career... he was always standing in front of his opponent throwing punches. Secondly I think Mayweather will fight Cotto if the money is right... If he is willing to first Oscar at 154 I think thats as gutsy as fighting Cotto at 147... Also about Cotto-Oscar Dela Hoya, I think that Cotto would be beaten. Oscar is a little bit faster, and he hits as hard or harder than Cotto... They are very similar fighters, but I think that Oscar is a little bit more versatile, buts a very close fight which I would love to see, however there is no way that Oscar would get a beat down... at this point in his career I see him being a lot stronger than Mosley.
he stood in front of guys and overpowered them..when he fought and A-rated fighter like oscar shane's circling the ring is what won the fight...he had shoulder movement..not that he fought at angles like rjj or pbf but he did use his legs much more in the past. and pbf won hit shane with a lot of rights....
and cotto would beat oscar down to submission..cotto is no vargas... oscar has a chance because he has power but
how much power would he have after cotto unleashes the .50 caliber body shots to ODLH under exercised gut... not long. and i'm not going to use the bhop body shot as an example
because i felt like oscar flopped in that fight...fake a** acting....real body shots freeze a man not make him have an epilepsy...
We agree for ONCE!! CC,agree with your post especially the last part. ;)
Delahoya may lose to Cotto, but know way does he get beaten to submission. DLH like Mosely are hardnosed throwback fighters that would never get demolished. Both have all time chins and hearts. I mean against Mosely, Cotto finally decided midway through the 9th that he wasnt gonna break Mosely's will or heart and was no longer willing or eager to take anymore of Moselys punishment to deliver his own. The same would happen against Delahoya he aint breakin, he might lose but he aint getting manhandled and smashed up
So hard core and heart is defined by taking dives, avoiding the toughest fights, and fighting up washed up fighters and then getting your cheesy ass as top #15 p4p in the Ring. Give me a break.
