Taxi Driver literally gave me chills with the final scene. American Psycho had a great ending aswell.
And it wasn't the final scene, but the ending of The Departed was like another movie in itself.

Ha, that's weird that you would mention that movie. I have And Justice For All and I'm really not sure it came into my posession. I'm a bit of a fan of legal films, and I watched it before bed and I actually quite enjoyed it. But I didn't get all the way through. I might have to now.
Lord of the Rings, the final one... for an ending that was best at dragging on for 40 freaking minutes too long.....
I remember the old move Blaze of Glory I think it was had an awesome ending with all the outlaws caught in a house and having to fight their way out.. Not in the league of the classics above though...
Lock stock and 2 smoking barrels & Snatch both had great endings, but were pretty spot on the whole way through anyway.
...The Exorcist was pretty fucking good too
I looked through one page of this thread and didn't see this movie mentioned.. but being the self proclaimed film buff that i am.. one of, if not the best ending of a movie EVER is..Quote:

VERY surprised this hasn't been mentioned yet. (if it actually hasn't)
The Wicker Man is the movie to see if you're up for shock value
perfect blonde, the climax of the video was awsome the blonde taking it in the face is just classic. any of you guys want to see it im the only one that has it ;P I'm not bias or anything but its the best film out there. And it stars me the "cock" and nikki the "perfect blonde".
Best ending to a movie is the end of "Carlito's Way".
Best begininng is that of "Cape Fear".
Nothin like Deniro doin dips all tattooed up, on his last day in prison, gettin ready to get out and go on a fukin violent psychopathic rampage.
TMNT II: Secret of the ooze is a candidate for best ending as well.
Splinter: "Hahahaha, I made another funny!!!"
....the original Cape Fear is good as well, Robert Mitchum was bad as hell
It wasn't bad at all, but the remake with Deniro was a lot better. I've seen both, and after seein the Deniro version, the original is too watered down, too tame, the scene where Mitchum fights the long shoremen under the dock, it was too brief and not nearly violent enough.Quote:
