Re: Does anyone else predict an Ugly fight for Hatton/PBF?
That is 1 thing I'm looking forward to seeing,if Hatton is able to close the distance, get inside, what does Floyd do?Use those ripping uppercuts he used to use at 130/35/40?Or does he hold? I don't see Floyd holding if I'm honest.

Looks like im the only one who thinks this will be good action packed fight people need to remember Mayweather is at his most effective and most exciting when he is being pressured constantly and like i said Hatton will keep going and going so i think your all going to be shocked.

Could be true,I doubt it though. Floyd looked great when he was fighting guys his ssize and being pressured down ar 135. At 147 and 54,Oscar and Baldo pressured and they are not particularly good pressure fighters.Needless to say, they were not 2 of Mayweather's better peformances.
I hope you'r right though.
Re: Does anyone else predict an Ugly fight for Hatton/PBF?
I think they are gonna go out of their way to make sure this isn't an ugly fight, with the complaints about Floyd's last fight and the reputation hatton already has for hugging and smothering they are going to try their best to keep these guys separated to try and keep the fight exciting..

I don't think Baldo put effective pressure on Mayweather he was just plodding around and as for Oscar De La Hoya i think Mayweather had to be bit more cautious against Oscar De La Hoya because he had never fought at that weight class and he was facing much bigger man Hatton has got fast feet and rushes forward in a hurry and it doesn't matter if Mayweather has a gameplan to box cautious he won't be able to Hatton's pressure will force Mayweather to bring out his offensive arsenal.

If the fight does get in close Floyd will tie Hatton up making sure he gets no work done on the inside.....
So what we have is Hatton getting close enough to land a few then holding so Floyd can not get away or Floyd just holding Ricky the second he sees he is in a spot and wants top stop Ricky from working inside.....
I hope I am wrong here but for some reason all the hype I have a notion is going to be for nothing other then the two will be in the same ring....
Opinions?
CC.... great great post.

Re: Does anyone else predict an Ugly fight for Hatton/PBF?
I do not think Hatton will be able to hit Floyd in the face (I do not recall anyone doing so consistently and effectively-maybe Judah in the first few rounds). That being said, people forget that Hatton has one punch KO power to the body and it seems that that is where you can hit Floyd (see Oscar, Baldy). Hatton should try to get in close, do his hold and hit, but hit Floyd solely in the body and wear him down a la Cotto style. Then maybe Floyd's hands will come down in the later rounds for a power shot to the head. Floyd should definitely stay away from the clinches-that's what Hatton lives for.

If Hatton wants to win it better be ugly.
